Loira Vines

Stopped by to have a tasting (after many other tastings) and the place made us feel right at home! Such a beautiful place with proud and friendly owners. Would highly recommend! We wish we were in Launceston for longer so we could have come back to dine and purchase more wine!

Mirabai makes the absolute best platters on the tamar - it is like a fancy dance routine for your taste buds 💃
Adrian is the ultimate host - all the team are relatable, knowledgeable and attentive.
The gin flight is fantastic and we absolutely loved the full flight as well.
My favourite is the pink lady cider 👌🏼 Best cider 🍎
We had coffee as well which was great and the outlook across the property is relaxing.
All in all a great little place to enjoy a bit of the west Tamar culture, wine, food and hospitality 😁

Lovely boutique winery in a gorgeous location. Great food and atmosphere. The tastings were excellent. Heartily recommend. Wonderful hosts. Great options if you are a vegetarian or vegan.

Great place, fantastic owners that make you feel at home! Adrian is a man of many trades. Fun experience to taste cider, beer, wine and gin. We brought home some of the cider and gin.

The most delicious tasting plates for lunch paired with wines you could hope for. Really great day out touring vineyards and stopping for lunch here. Highly recommend. I bought some Rocky Gardens Relish as I was leaving because it blew me away and now I’m looking to buy more online, it’s so good.

Excellent service, great wines and out of this world gin. Will be ordering more. Didn't try the food but the platters looked spectacular. Lovely to meet such a welcoming team, Adrian knows what he's doing.

Tasting plate was phenomenal, without a doubt the best I've ever had.

The wine, cider, and beer were also 10/10, very simple, flavourful and clean.

Adrian, Mirabai and Adeline could not have made us feel more comfortable and welcome, a must try if you're in the area as you won't regret it.

We found the experience at Loira to be so enjoyable that we visited twice during our two week holiday! Such a lovely family behind Loira Vines, a beautiful property, welcoming of our dog, incredible platters, wine, cider and beer. We’ll definitely be back next time we visit Tasmania!

Everything about Loira Vines is exceptional. The small intimate cellar door is inviting with loads of relaxing atmosphere. The friendly staff, and owners, went out of their way to serve us and look after our needs and requirements. We had a party of 15 adults and 4 little ones. The platters were beautifully put together and catered for all tastes… we felt very spoilt and we’re delighted with our whole experience. An incredible way & day to celebrate a special birthday with family. Thank you 👌🏻🍾🥂

The hospitality, the moment you step in, is beyond incredible. Everything was magnificent.
The venue is clean, tidy, appealing and beautiful.
People are friendly and accommodating. We requested to be shifted on an empty spot, sitting facing outside at the al fresco and were spontaneously moved, and it was really busy (we were very grateful for it).
We had a bottle of the very dangerously smooth drinking rosè, delightfully emptied at the end of the meal.
The pre ordered food platter was the most impressive, masterfully and admirable platter!!
Never had we ever had such a fresh, delicious, balanced varietal of savoury and sweetness goodness on a board. It blew our minds. *We switched the salmon for other goodies.

Wonderful small winery with a great view of the wineries on the hills. Really good service from the husband and wife team who provided our wine tasting and vegetarian cheese board. Wine, beer and ciders were really enjoyable and not to pricey. Cheese board was sourced from local producers which was very yummy. Don’t skip on this place.

Fantastic place for wine and cheese. Team are really friendly, super knowledgeable and love to share their passion for wines with you while you dine. The platters are incredible and great value and the outlook from the winery is terrific. Couldn't fault it.

very friendly relaxed service. not a lot of time so we did not get to stay long. left with some samples of the wine and craft beer. both excellent. hope to return at some stage to explore this place further

Loira Vines deserves every five star review. Everything in the establishment has been taken into consideration to create a great experience. The owner's were not shy and happy to share insight int there services, history, products and more. My wife and I sampled a range of their wines, ciders and beers which were truly unique and all were fresh on the palette. We also had a Vegan platter for two and it was an experience which I look forward to having again. There were Vegan cheeses, chutneys, dips, dried fruits, chocolate covered strawberries and the seasoned pumpkin was on another level. I could go on but I think you got hte picture. Support this business!

A "must-visit" on your list of Tassie wineries. Enjoyed an incredible platter so thoughtfully put together and a tasting flight of some of the most drinkable wines/ciders/beer we've ever had. The owners are so lovely, it felt like they welcomed us into their home and couldn't wait to share their passion with us. Thank you for a lovely afternoon!

If you're wondering where to have lunch in the Tamar, this is the place. The platters are so generous, so delicious and totally reasonably priced. The wine and cider is great too, and to top it off the service is super friendly. You cannot go wrong.
