Little Paddocks

We booked a riding lesson as a present for my daughter’s 10th birthday last year. We were impressed that Marree taught the kids from getting the horse groomed and ready to ride instead of just letting them ride. My daughter loved the experience of learning all the aspects of caring for a horse and getting the horse ready to ride to riding and then untalented horse ready to go back to the stable or paddock. A year later with lessons every fortnight my daughter has a very special bond with “poppy”.
Highly recommend if you want the complete package.

Love riding at Little Paddocks. Maree is the best instructor for myself and my children. It feels like therapy attending my lessons. Maree has so much knowledge. I love her explanations. I have learnt so much from Maree. Her horse are all so beautiful. I've fallen in love with all of them. Even my son loves coming who is 7. It's taught my children to be relaxed around horses. They both love learning how to take care of them from cleaning their feet, how to be gentle and connect with horses. I cannot recommend Little Paddocks and Maree enough.

I would like to assure any potential customers that Maree is an excellent instructor who is passionate about teaching children and adults alike how to ride horses correctly and softly. She has a caring and enthusiastic nature towards horses and riders, which instills confidence in her students.

Her patience and understanding ensure that even the most nervous or inexperienced riders feel comfortable and confident on horseback.
The review left by "Carolyn" is incredibly misleading and does not reflect the experience that my young brother and everyone I know have had at Little Paddocks. Maree would never use derogatory language or belittle her students in any way, as this is not conducive to a positive learning environment.
Instead, she uses positive reinforcement and encouragement to help her students develop their skills and reach their full potential. She is extremely knowledgeable about horse care and safety, ensuring that her students are always in good hands.

In conclusion, I highly recommend Little Paddocks riding school, especially if you are looking for a caring and experienced instructor like Maree. Please do not let false reviews deter you from experiencing the joys of horse riding, which can be an amazing experience for both adults and children. Maree does an amazing job catering for all ages.

Hello. I am now 9 and a very sensitive boy. I used to feel misunderstood but mum has been taking me for lessons with Maree for nearly 2 years and I am so grateful. I’ve gained a lot of confidence and feel understood, appreciated and supported in every way. My dream of mastering showing off my dressage moves is coming within reach. Maree has done a great job teaching mum to support me, standing up for me all the way when mum is slow getting it. Take it from the horse’s mouth- Maree is my favourite coach.

My daughter has attended Little Paddocks for 6 lessons.
William and the girl for the come and try were utterly amazing. They did so great with the kids.

But the last few lessons with Maree have put her off horse riding and today she asked not to return. Shes lost her passion and doesnt want to come back. A small child obsessed with horses and her dreams have been shattered. She's 5. She's been told constantly she's: weak, a sook and a wuss. It's heart wrenching.
Monty stood on her last lesson and instead of being caring and compassionate, Maree told her that she's being a wuss and country girls are stronger. The horse weighs about 300kgs. She's 5 and weighs 17kg!!
When my husband questioned if she's okay and wanted to check her foot, Maree kicked him out of the stable and told my daughter "You're better off without him"
SHE IS 5!!!!!!!!

I'd go back if I could book with the other teachers but I won't be back with Maree as her teacher.

We only attended once awhile ago. Never again. The owner is terrible with kids, she has no compassion or understanding. My exlerience was similiar and had my son spend 50mins of his 1hr lessons cleaning everything. She's either always distracted, telling the kids how pathetic they are and country kids are better. All fake reviews she's getting people to post here are laughable.

Rude woman, supposed to encourage the children not expect them to know everything, not a great experience with my grandchildren
