Rainbow Sands Resort

I stayed two nights in an apartment and I really loved it.
It's close to the Greyhound bus stop, the grocery store and the center.
The staff is very friendly. Check in is at 2pm, I arrived at 9am and I could leave my luggage there until check-in.
The apartment was really big, it had a full- equipped kitchen, a big living room with 2 sofas, a tv and a table, a balcony, a bathroom with a washing machine and a dryer and a bedroom. Everything was very clean.
There is also a pool but I didn't use it so I can't say anything about it.
The only negative thing is that there is no elevator and the kitchen has no bowls so you can't eat cereal.
But apart from that I can definitely recommend this hotel!

We made a last minute booking as the weather turned bad and camp site flooded out. Room was clean had everything you need. The bathroom light would flicker on and off really fast but We didn't find it an issue as it was better then camping in flooded waters and this was the cheapest option.

We made a last minute booking at Rainbow Sands (9th May 2024) and we were very pleased with the rooms which were spacious, clean and tidy. The motel is a short walk from the SLSC and was very close to the road leading up to Carlo sand-blow. The staff at the motel were very friendly and dealt with all our questions.
Overall - highly recommended.

Last minute decision as we stayed on Fraser and had to leave but we are very happy with our stay here.. clean rooms great facilities and close to everything.. def will return when we head up that way .. managers on site were extremely very helpful friendly.. thankyou for making our stay great

Most comfortable motel pillow I've ever had. Super clean rooms and great location. IGA, fish n chips, BWS and best woodfired pizza next door.

What an Amazing motel. The Manager Bron was a superstar. He was so welcoming and helpful when we arrived. Gave us tips on where to eat. The rooms are great, super clean and excellent water pressure in the shower. The pool was great for a swim! Everything is so clean and maintained. An absolute bargain for the price. We will be back for sure!!!

Lovely service. Right across the road from pretty much everything in town. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy and plenty of parking (even for our friends boat).

We've stayed here on a number of occasions and, yes, it isn't the Hilton.
Perfect for our needs, though - Walking distance to the beach and shops, without being in the party zone come closing time at the pub.
Staffing the hotel has been an issue of late, and perhaps this is reflected in some of the reviews. We have also found this at various other businesses at Rainbow - either there's nobody who wants to work or, if they do, they don't care about doing a good job because there's no alternative should they be fired.
Tough to run a business at all under such circumstances, so well done, and thanks for a lovely time away.

We had two rooms booked and 4 people couldn’t make it at short notice, due to COVID border closures. We thought we would be charged the original price for two rooms. The staff were understanding we didn’t need the other room and didn’t charge us. Clean large rooms. Good location, close to shops. Will definitely be back.

My Partner and his work mates stayed here while working in Rainbow beach. And we came up to stay for the weekend too. Very clean and Accommodating as we have kids too. Very friendly and helpful staff. Close to everything you need. Highly recommend. Decently priced. We will definitely come back for a family getaway.

We needed a room for one night only as we were caught late travelling to Fraser Island.

Staff member who booked us was very helpful and friendly, organising for us to arrive late at night.

Room was clean and tidy, snd we slept well.

Old but really great close to the club and good value for money

Clean rooms. Big bins outside the rooms to chuck out excess rubbish. Swimming pool and free WiFi with smart Tvs in rooms. Highly recommended...
