Had the most delightful evening at Rakkas, a modern Turkish restaurant. We opted for the tasting menu, and each dish was a perfect balance of flavors! The ambiance in the restaurant added so much to the experience—it was truly phenomenal. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!

The food was outstanding. So different flavours in each dish, which were perfectly executed. loved every single dish. The bar and floor staff in particular were chatty and friendly without being intrusive. The restaurant also has a very nice atmosphere.

Rakkas, the new Turkish restaurant in Canberra, truly impressed me. Head Chef Onur’s careful attention to detail is evident in every dish. The appetizers are fantastic, especially the hummus and other starters—they were simply delicious. The main courses are both balanced and satisfying. The desserts, particularly the quince, were unforgettable. Rakkas is definitely a place worth visiting again, with its great ambiance and food. I highly recommend it to everyone!

Wow, we were so impressed with this restaurant. The food is exquisite, beautifully presented and just delicious. The tasting menu is a must, paired with a refreshing cocktail and wine. The service was exceptional, every dish explained as it came out. Fresh seafood and succulent meats. Rakkas is a must for everyone. We came from Sydney just to eat here. The dishes prepared by chef Mert Toplu were different from anything we had tasted before. It was really worth coming from such a long way. You should definitely try the food here. As for cocktails; I can say it is the best. It is a business with different tastes opened in a great location, where the happiness of family employees is reflected on their plates. thanks

Food was fantastic! Could not fault it, every item we ordered was delicious. The haloumi and lamb shoulder were our favourites by far. Staff are friendly and not intrusive, the restaurant has a really nice ambience (not too loud or quiet). Will definitely be returning ☺

If you are looking for an authentic and fancy Turkish experience, this is the place to go. Excellent location, super friendly service, and incredible food. Also caters for vegetarians.

Absolutely blown away by the turkish flavours with a modern twist, chef Mert is a wizard in the kitchen! Canberra no longer has Otomans cuisine but Rakkas fills those shoes and exceeds expectations!!

I recently dined at Rakkas in Canberra and had an exceptional experience.
The trio dips were a perfect start, with each dip offering a unique and delicious flavor.
Both the scallops and sardines were fresh and perfectly cooked, showcasing the quality of ingredients used. The duck was a standout dish, cooked to perfection with a rich, flavorful sauce.
The kazandibi was a delightful end to the meal, with a perfect balance of sweetness and texture.
Service was amazing. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.

We ate here again last night - our 2nd visit since it opened - and we will definitely be back again. The food here is simply magnificent - and it is an absolute credit to the chef/ kitchen staff. Such great flavours and good quality ingredients - the duck, the lamb and the barramundi were all divine. A great menu with good variety; and a refreshing improvement on places like Pomegranate - and even Ottoman (which is about to reopen). The lovely decor and fit out make the atmosphere very relaxing. I just marked down the service a bit not because it was bad - but just because there were some teething problems and maybe some of the staff need to get a bit more confident. But we can't wait to be back.

This restaurant is outstanding. The service is impeccable, the food leaves you with a desire to try everything on the menu and the decor is divinely elegant.
This will definitely be my go to for any and every occasion.
Its quiet elegance is instantly relaxing and i have left feeling like I have discovered something very very special

I am so happy about this new edition at Kingston foreshore.
We had a lovely girls night out!
The food was very tasty! We had 3 dips and 2 starters with 2 mains to follow. It was heaps of food for 3 of us! We had GF requirements which were easily met.
The staff was lovely and we each got a gift - little bag of Turkish delight (lokum) to take home.
We will be back!
