Great coffee in Dungong. They have a cool initiative with re-using their milk cartons for cup holders.

We finally got to do our day trip to Dungog, we needed coffee and Deb picked The Dungog Trading Post, coffee was great, so much so we went back after a walk round the town to have brunch, Deb had a Vego Ruben and a Chai and I had Scrambled Eggs and another Piccolo, everything was excellent in a pleasant setting and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

We had a terrific lunch here today. Just dropped in on a whim, and we were so happy we did. I had a curry veggie pastry with a delicious chutney and salad, and my wife had the corn fritter with avocado and bacon. So fresh, so tasty, and prices were really sensible for the quality and quantity of food. Fast, friendly service too ... we'll be back.

I’ve traveled all across Australia and the Trading Post bun is the BEST brekkie roll I’ve discovered! Will look forward to this amazing meal and the lovely service next time I pass through Dungog.

First visit to Dungog having heard about the lovely town. And that it was - albeit a quiet Monday and reason to get back there. Popped in to Trading Post for impromptu lunch. Staff were friendly, table seating outside had a nice vibe. Two coffees and two specials of the day. Coffees lovely. Butter chicken was pretty tasteless and just warm. Toastie bolognaise cheesie was okay. $48 certainly could have been better spent.

What an aweful experience. The owner abuses and bully's her staff. When an attempt to confront her about this behaviour, I was then subjected to being abused myself. I will never support a business that allows or commits such horrendous behaviour,
Workplace bullying is NEVER OK.
Shame on you Therese. Your attitude and behaviour is not that of the Dungog Community Spirit.
Dungog is a wonderful and friendly town with lots of other wonderful businesses to buy beverage , breakfast and lunch from.

One star for the gift shop. No stars for the food and service.
We had a terrible experience today. My father in law ordered the soup. My husband and I Ordered 2 jaffles and a hot choc. We got one jaffle, it wasnt my order. After me touching it to see what it was and taking it back, they bought it back out 5mins later to the man who ordered it.😳.
The lady from the kitchen asked what we ordered and i told her. My Father in law had already finished his soup and we still didnt have our jaffles.
When they did arrive mine had a hair on it. They were slices of standard bread and the filling was basic mince with cheese. We paid $14 EACH.
Hot choc was not flavoursome so i went to add sugar. Opened the sugar bowl and seen crusty stuck together raw sugar. So everyone stirs their coffees licks their spoons to remove the froth and decides to add sugar from the same pot that sits on the table for everyone to share.
Wheres the hygiene practise in that.
I went without sugar clearly.
I understand its a small buisness in a small town but i expected better. Espically to pay $14 for a toasted sandwhich with everyday bread not focaccia. Also noted that you have to pay before you get your meal. Is that so people refuse to pay because of the quality??
While we were there we noticed 2 other stuff ups with orders and the girl behind the counter took my father in laws order then got called away so he was left standing there. When she came back to the till he said can i please get my drink, she replied oh yeah sorry i forgotand got his drink out of the fridge.
