I am a licensed electrician and also ACRS master cabler.
Over 2 weeks ago I phoned Daikin regarding a replacement wall control unit.
I told them I was an electrician wanting replacement part for my client.
Anyway to keep to the point after filling in the online parts form, several attempts to try to contact and problems with the online word doc submit, we finally managed to call Daikin to be told as I don't have an ARC license they cannot sell to me as I'm not a trade customer.
Ok fair enough 😃.
But then why waist my time to start with 🤬.
This unit is extra low voltage and has a cat 5 socket and jack, no exclusive skill set or licensed required to fit this part, No different than a remote control.
It was actually one of your top Eastern Suburbs installers who told me to ring you for a trade price!
I get a lot of clients, ask my recommendations on a number things.
Recommending Daikin in future is not likely.

DO NOT BUY A DAIKIN SYSTEM. Spend 15k on air conditioning, was delivered a faulty system, 3 months later it still doesn’t work. Daikin confirmed the system was faulty and needed a replacement part which has never arrived. Calls and emailed to customer service are not actioned, 3 months down the track there is no update, calls are not being returned for an update. I am now 15 down the drain with a system that doesn’t work. BEWARE
