Yaochii Asian Grocery store

Super large Asian supermarket.
The shop is clean and wide variety. I was impressed by the wide selection of famous Japanese pet food " Inaba" .
I've never seen such a variety of Inaba Cat foods in Sydney.
It's good news for cat lovers♡

It’s clear to me that some of the customers in this store either have lived with their mummies feeding them by hand for their whole lives or cannot seem to use basic common sense. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences at this store. Whether cashiers are using their phones or whatnot have nothing to do with anyone’s concern, their job is to serve you and so far I can tell that every customer receives equal treatment. Unhappy customers complaining about finding difficult parking, there literally is a 5 story 3 hour free parking downstairs. If you could at least maybe spent one minute of your time looking around the area, you could’ve found a suitable place to put your car. I work in retail as well, and as for us retail workers, we always try our best to provide the best service and interaction with our customers. The wonderful team at yaochii has done a fantastic job, by having a presentable, clean and tidy store with each store member all being polite and helpful. It really is concerning how some customers here have no shame or common sense and are unable to think ahead. Don’t listen to the negative reviews, they’re just reflections of who these people are as a person. Disappointing.

I am a regular customer here at Yaochii and I am disgusted and disappointed with the recent treatment and attitude of some feeble minded and insolent customers towards the staff.
Yaochii is one of the best and diverse Asian supermarkets in Sydney, with a wide and diverse range of Asian products, making it a hotspot store for regular customers needing specific Asian snacks or food. Whichever specific drink or snack you are looking for, I can guarantee they have it here. The Daily Mail even has an article about it, and various bloggers have visited this store giving positive reviews. Now, the most recent prior to my comment complained first about the prices of items here. Might I remind this person, that this store caters to the international Asian audience, with most of its products being foreign imports. How can you not expect items to be overpriced!? In fact I believe yaochii has a very generous price range, with nothing too overly expensive given that it’s located in St. Leonards, one of the most expensive suburbs to live in Sydney. If you are not satisfied with is price range, my god if you maybe open your eyes, there is a big Cole’s sign which clearly directs you to the local supermarket located downstairs. This person will probably complain about Coles being overpriced as well, won’t be too surprised. It’s even more saddening that I personally witnessed this specific person here actually verbally abuse a staff member before storming off. The attitude and behaviour of this customer was disgusting and extremely inappropriate. Her Google account is full of negative reviews, so this is clearly an untrustworthy reviewer. For those complaining about staff using their phones, the irony you people have to accuse them doing this when you yourselves are guilty of it as well, when you go work your boring 9 to 5 job, checking if anyone messages you every 5 minutes because you cannot seem to find anything productive to do. Not sure why this is bothering you. Also, you guys really expect cashiers to stand in one spot 6 to 8 hours a day, with a permanent smile on their faces and be your assistant while you shop??? Their job is to scan your items and collect your payment, that’s literally it. If you want to look for items, a better person to ask is maybe the staff who stack shelves since they have more experience in this regard. Crazy to me how some people fail to think ahead sometimes and are so quick to point fingers and blame. What a sad life you live. I have been going to this store consistently everyday for the past 5 months and not once have I been in any way disappointed by the stores selection of items or disrespected by any staff. The wonderful team at yaochii are very talented and helpful, and they are the reasons why I choose yaochii as my go to supermarket for IMPORTED ASIAN GOODS. Another reminder that Cole’s is also downstairs?? Some of you people need to wake up from your degeneracy and actually start using your brain.

This is a very convenient place to source Asian groceries (mainly Chinese but you can also find loads of Korean and even Japanese food products). Saves me having to travel to either Chatswood or Chinatown now.
The chillers all along the western side wall are loaded with exotic drinks (teas, milks, soft drinks and waters). So, on a hot Summer day, you can buy and drink something cold and refreshing right away. I only wish there was signage to tell you what some of the things were. Found a pear-flavoured soft drink made by Tsing Tao (the brewers). They also have some Nippy's (from South Australia) but only 2 of their products. But my current fav are the Genki/Chi Forest drinks. Haven't seen their pineapple drink there yet but I can always pick it up in Chatswood.

Simply fabulous in St L! Bright and airy and a really good selection across Asian foodstuffs. Wished they had a few more Japanese items, but I'm complaining on a really high level here ;)

Best stockist for Asian gourmet food and trendy items. It even sells mooncakes from Hong Kong Peninsula Hotel! Very helpful staff. 👍

Amazing variety of stock

Very white, very bright Asian grocery store. They stock a huge variety of grocery items and even lots of important snacks like the Japanese version of Haagen Dazs ice cream! You’ll be able to find all your essentials here but there is a premium price to pay. Compared to similar Asian supermarkets in Chatswood, items are often a dollar more expensive but I guess you pay for the premium location as well. Definitely convenient, clean and well presented! Parking is also available within the complex as there’s Coles downstairs too and you get free 2 hour parking.

Quite good variety of Asian groceries, spacious and good layout, good shopping experience not like traditional Chinese grocery that’s generally messy, squashy, and dirty, this one is quite different.

We went here while trying to find asian grocery stores in St. Leonards Sydney. We found it quite good, not as much variety as other asian super markers around town-hall and chatswood, but definitely worth while. Good selection of Japanese goods!
