THE BEST BOOKSTORE IN CAIRNS

This store is my go-to place to buy books, they have reasonable prices and a huge range of stock to choose from. If they don't have the book you are looking for in-store, they can order it for you, I found it took between a week and a half for the book to arrive. Considering we live in Cairns, I'd say that is a good wait time. That staff there are always friendly and are very helpful when searching for a specific book. The lady who owns this store is a fantastic lady who has done an amazing job creating a safe haven for book lovers in Smithfield!

I’ve always had a good experience here. Good range of kids books and others. I ordered a book in and it took a week, easy. More than happy to support this locally owned book shop rather than go online too.

Good range of books and book related must-haves. The staff are welcoming and always make time for a chat, about books, gardening or even your latest trip.

Absolutely awesome shop. Had a wide range on Eastern philsophy including Alan Watts, Sun Tzu and Shinsuke Hosokawa. Very helpful staff, would absolutely reccomend a visit here.

Great variety, super helpful staff. I went in looking for a book for a young girl, bought 3,, couldn't decide for one.

A reasonable range of books on most subjects, good attentive staff, good location, in a major shopping centre easy access, reasonable parking.

I like this shop its a bit small but if they don't have what your looking for they can order it for you

Several years ago they took my two books on consignment. I was gone paid $12 each for 3 of one. $19 to be paid for each of the larger book. I sent reminder emails over the years and rang but no response. A few days ago they rang me to say they had one book left. I should send invoice for others but I got such a shock I forgot to ask which book. They have now closed. Temporarily it says. Hmmm.

If I could give zero stars I would. Terrible customer service, rude. As a mother of a boy who LOVES to read and after having already spent over $100 in the past 3 weeks on books for him in this store I suggest you all spend your money elsewhere. The rudeness is extended to children and adults alike. Time to retire guys you’re clearly not in it for the love of reading anymore.

When Authors are taken for a ride, rude, arrogant and not helpful, As an author I trusted my books with this company to sell, after a number of years, they asked that I collect the books in December 2016, when I asked how many had they sold, I was told a few, I dropped off 15 books, picked up 6. I asked how will I get paid and was given a card to invoice. Upon sending the invoice they said they had no record, then they said they found the record, oh they had sold one book and why was I waiting so long to invoice them. Then they said they weren't paying for them, how pathetic! So much for customer service and supporting the local authors!

This bookshop is not helpful at all I ordered a book at the start of October and am still waiting, I rang a store in Melbourne and had the book within 4 days. I will never set foot in this book shop again.
