I’m not sure about all these negative reviews regarding customer service as a recently new local I’ve visited this establishment a few times and the service has always been friendly, informative and spot on. Today was no exception, while browsing some whiskies a young man helped me and when he was unable to answer a question rather than trying to make it up he offered to get his manager. Within 30s I was greeted by a lovely lady called Diane who was able to help with my questions and provided wonderful recommendations displaying the utmost professionalism, wonderful conversation and information. Thank you Diane and team for being so helpful and warm.

I visited the Rosebud store on Saturday last week and I found the customer service to be wonderful. Especially from one young man named Nathan. Nothing was a hassle and as I couldn’t get any service he kindly signed me up with ease and very quickly. When I was leaving I saw another lady saying to Nathan how she thought his customer service was exceptional and she’s never had a young person be so kind and helpful. I couldn’t agree more.

Visited the new Rosebud store today . Quite impressive but what impressed me the most was the service a staff member gave me. His name was Cameron and he was brilliant at his job and very informative when I asked questions. I have never experienced this service at any of the other Dan Murphy stores I usually shop at. He was helping out at the store and took pride in assisting me. Well done .

Popped in earlier today to grab some beers. Young guy dressed up like an Irishman was extremely helpful and surprisingly knowledgeable for a young fella.
Grabbed his name off some one else and said Nathan was his name. Not sure how many Nathan’s there are , but if there like him , Dans lucky.
As Arnold says “I’ll be back”

I called the store with a simple question but got brushed off to the on-line site. How did they know that I wasn’t trying to tell them that their store was on fire? Or I had left my car key wallet in store?

Initial greeting and assistance from greeter was pleasant enough - helped me find the product, but when I went to pay, I let the cashier know I needed some boxes - only to be told "the boxes are over there" - pointing to the boxes on the shelf; at which I commented I didn't realise customers were now packing their own boxes - well the answer I got back was intriguing to say the least ... "it's not a requirement for me (as cashier)" was the response. So had I dropped a bottle would I then have to pay given there was no stipulation that customers had responsibility to pack their own product into boxes? Remember - until payment is made, the goods are technically Dan Murphy's....! Would have understood if she (the cashier) could not assist with packing had there been one enormous queue, but there was none in the store at the time! Won't be returning. There is direct competition with First Choice Liquor is just a short walk away, and the service from them has always been GREAT!

Walked in to the store today with my dad and boyfriend
Im the youngest at 25 and my partner and I were refused entry because we couldn’t show our physical ID but we could show it electronically. We were asked to leave the store and then the worker who was very rude told me to not say anything to our dad because then he can’t buy anything either because we couldn’t provide our ID.
Absolutely disgraceful service. Will never return.

Tried to purchase 2 cases of millers chill online, on 27/11/23 which was at a great price. After spending 2 hrs trying to pay for it, i gave up and thought that i would go down in person the next day. Due to unfortunate circumstances prior ( having my beloved dog put to sleep) i went down to explain the situation. The girl at the checkout was lovely, she got the manger. Before i really could explain my problem, he said that you have to do it online, i said that it wouldn’t accept it, i said nicely can you honor it, he kept saying that you have to do it online. Well my patrionage has been very short lived. Wont be returning, the attitude has finished me. Good luck Dan Murphys Rosebud.

Really disappointed with the service received today. Went to pick up a few drinks for a weekend away with friends and during check out we were asked for identification. Despite all four of us being 30 years old, we were rejected to buy our alcohol on the basis of one of our licenses being recently expired. Where is the common sense in applying this ridiculous policy? Will never return.

I am a black male I have come down with my partner and children for holidays In rosebud because our friend said it was a nice beachy area I walked into the dan Murphy's rosebud to get some beers to sit down at the beach with everyone and some male named Trevor walked up to me as I had just picked up some liquor saying what's your kind doing in here and I said what are you talking sorry? he then told me I bet your not going to pay for that your people wouldn't know anything about that then laughed in my face I said my people! He said I'm just joking and told me I can't handle my emotions properly and can't take a joke and walked of I was fumming I bought my stuff and left and I'll never return racism isn't a frigging joke!! Bloody vile

The manager Trevor working at this store seems to harass customers, asks people visibly over the age of 18 for ID, not a very friendly person, claimed that I was intoxicated after letting me into the store, refused me service and said that I was trying to start an argument with him after asking why he had came out of nowhere to tell me that I was intoxicated and should leave abruptly.

Tried to walk in with my 9 year old daughter today and was told my 9 year old daughter had to remain outside the store whilst I shopped, she was refused entry after she failed to provide identification, well obviously because she’s 9, so I just walked out and went somewhere else, will never be returning😡
