Visited today to buy a Seestar S50 and we were very happy with the lovely service we received! While the store was just a small showroom within the warehouse, it featured some beautiful telescopes and parts.

Our interaction was very quick because we knew what we wanted, but the staff member (I didn't catch his name!) was knowledgeable and keen to help out.

A very positive result.
They went above and beyond that which I have normally experienced with customer care, service, and support.
Communication is timely - dispatch quick - and product well protected.

I received the Testar Cq350 Pier extension about a month ago. It was shipped promptly, but arrived having suffered damage in transit. Testar immediately shipped a replacement which arrived safe and sound. It’s a beautifully machined and finished product, and allows the extra clearance I need for a long refractor. I would definitely order from them again.

Great service and advice. Purchased the Geoptik Nadirus 12" Dobsobian. Fantastic telescope. The folks at Testar are always there to help with any requirements you may have and also any questions regarding your purchase.

I live in the USA, but in the last couple of years I started purchasing astro gear from Testar in Australia. In my experience, it is the best supplied astro-shop I know of. The US market is still affected by supply chain disruptions and it’s really hard to find a lot of items. (I just waited for year and a half to get a focuser motor). Even worse, some US astro suppliers can’t be trusted – you find out if something is really in stock only after you have paid for the merchandize and get a “oops, sorry, out of stock” email. Worse, some never respond to inquiries. This never happened to me with Testar: They are quick to respond and I found out that their website can be trusted – their system very clearly indicated what was in stock, and it indeed was. It’s true that shipping costs are probably somewhat higher than when you purchase stuff from the US, but they are not exorbitant. They are clearly stated once you put the merchandize into the shopping cart, so it’s easy to see them upfront. Whatever I purchased was packed and shipped within hours; and it took DHL only a couple of days to deliver it.

I am very happy with the very wide selection Testar has, and with efficiency and courteousness that their staff (Adriano and David) showed. I always had a feeling I am purchasing from fellow astronomer friends. Once you surmount a potential psychological barrier that the shop is a half way around the world, and are OK with paying possibly little more for shipping, you will be happily shopping from this great shop! It’s definitely worth checking every time you need something. Very highly recommended!

I've bought a number of products through Testar to date, and I've always been exceptionally impressed by the level of stock they carry compared to other Astronomy stores in Australia.

Today was the first time I've contacted them by phone, as I placed an order, but left an item off.

Their customer service was impecible, I had my order corrected in no time, and an adjusted invoice emailed to me while I was still on the phone.

I will continue to use Testar as my #1 go to Astronomy store for anything they stock!

Definitely a 5 stars, I bought an elephant solid case, it's great little case, very good quality inside foam, super protection for fragile items, I use it for some of my camera lenses.

After several orders from Testar, I feel that I can finally provide a well-informed review. I typically refrain from reviewing a shop after my first order, but Testar has proven themselves to be consistently reliable. I have never experienced any issues with shipping, and my orders have always been processed quickly. When I had a technical problem with my GTI Adv mount (which was my mistake), Testar went above and beyond by offering help over the phone and providing short instructional videos before I sent the mount back to them. Every member of the Testar team has been exceptionally helpful, making my experience with them the best it could possibly be. They are now my go-to shop for all my astrophotography needs!

Amazing service from Jamie. Knows his stuff and helped me so much. I was originally going to buy an astrophotography setup elsewhere, but I was not happy with the other place's lack of service. As I had received such good service from Testar on another matter I decided I would give them a chance. Many weeks of questions back and forth, weeks of changing my mind, they never got sick of me, answered questions both basic and technical, fully and in depth -- and quickly. As a result of this excellent customer service, which seems a rarity in this industry, Testar got a big sale for a complete rig with a quality mount. Thumbs up guys. Thanks.

I have been dealing with Testar for 6 months now, and I find them excellent to work with. Every query of mine, whether trivial or major, was answered quickly and clearly. Their pricing is competitive, also. I have no hesitation in recommending them for astronomy gear and support. (Their staff appear to be practising astronomers, too.)

Testar are now my go to store for astronomy and astrophotography gear. Always great and fast service, easy delivery to NZ, and they're often cheaper than buying direct from NZ sellers.
