Museum of the Republika Srpska

It was a really nice museum. This time there were arts of the modernist artists from serbia. It was really good exhibition. The entrance is free. Also they always have various exhibitions and themes which you can go and have a look and inform yourself. The security Guard was also welcoming and nice to us.

Honestly, it's very neglected; There are certain exhibits which are fun, but the ceiling is leaking water and generally maintenance seems to be forgotten. Would still recommend coling, just don't expect too much :)

Well worth the visit, there are many views of history and reading the stories from the past, seeing the photos, it paints a horrific view of especially wwii. The covered history do end with wwii, so not so much about the more recent past except the earthquake.

Highly recommended. Excellent selection ranging from mamouth bones, prehistoric tools and weapons, bronze age jewellery, Roman coins, weapons and stelas, médiéval swords, artefacts from the Ottoman era... There is also a haunting, graphic, disturbing and horrific but nevertheless necessary exhibition about the atrocities of Jasenovac death camp from second World War which left me in tears (one must climb up the stairs draped in black in the section about WWII to access the exhibition).

Really lovely place to visit. The history of the city, the illusion sections were so lovely. Highly recommend.
