Château de Rolley

This Château gives you a true authentic medieval experience. Right in the middle of the ardennes, the château overlooks its own park with pont. The rooms are cozy, authentic in style, but can get cold at night. Perfect for a group of 8+/-. Although you only have wifi in one room!

I have stayed at Château Rolley a few times, it has alot of old world charm and history. I love it. It is always very clean and welcoming on arrival.

My son, two grandsons and I spent 5 nights at Rolley last May while attending Memorial Day activities at Henri-Chapelle Military Cemetery where my father is buried. We felt wrapped in history during our stay. Knowing that General Patton used the Chateau as a base of operations during the Battle of the Bulge was special. If you want a taste of history, and a wonderful place to stay while visiting the various sites of the Battle, this is the place to be. Five Stars.

A great place to spend a long weekend with friends and family in the Belgian Ardennes. Large rooms and a cozy living room with a huge fireplace makes it a ideal place to relax and take in the history of the castle and area. The castle dates back to at least the 11th century and was converted into a Manor House in the 1700s. The castle is built on a natural rock outcropping that overlooks beautiful ponds with nice walking trails . It’s natural defences came in handy in WW2 when it was a headquarters for the US army during the Battle of the Bulge. Patton slept in one of the bedrooms during the battle and awarded medals outside the front door ! (See the photo
albums ) . There is a well equipped kitchen and BBQ facilities. It’s about a ten minute drive to Bastogne which has three very good museums that cover the Battle of the Bulge.

Château de Rolley is an absolute GEM! Just a simply breathtaking property, rich with history, and only a short (10 min) drive from downtown Bastogne. You WILL NOT believe it when you drive in through the courtyard. My jaw dropped! An absolute no-brainer if you're looking for a place to stay.

We just spend the entire weekend here and we all LOVED it! So much history at this location and the owner went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful!

For All WW II fans! Patton slept here! A must!

Amasing view

Mei 2019. Geweldige aankomst. Onder de poort door richting het kasteel. Wij mochten er een aantal nachten doorbrengen. Een Bruiloftsfeest. Wat een geweldige locatie om hier je bruiloft te vieren. Prachtige haard. Knusse kamers. Authentiek. Laatste dag zelfs lichte sneeuwval. Romantischer kan het bijna niet he’. Er liep een hond op het terrein. Wat een leukerd! Mijn kids waren niet weg te slaan bij het beest. Benieuwd of de hond nog leeft…. Het kasteel is nog in handen geweest van de Airborne divisie. Je vind er nog foto’s/info van in het kasteel. Tip: het museum bekijken in Bastogne over de tweede Wereldoorlog. Heel indrukwekkend!

Mooie locatie voor familieweekend. Aardige en behulpzame kasteelheer. Het huis was super, de wifi en het bereik van de telefoon mast wat minder.

Mooie kamers . Zeer rustig en landelijk . Veel mooie wandeling en mogelijk . Keuken zeer uitgebreid.

Fijn groot vakantie huis.
Familie weekend met 20 personen.

Přenádherné místo,jako v pohádce. Pěkné a stylové ubytování,.. možnost vyjet s loďkou na jezírko,romantika jak má být. I s dětmi se zde dobře zabavíte.
