Awesome place if you're into chocolate! A good part of the museum goes in-depth on how Cocoa beans were harvested and processed throughout history, as well as how the different types of chocolate are made. There are also plenty of chocolate art pieces/statutes to be seen.
The final part of the museum consists of a free tasting area, as well as a live demonstration of how pralines are made, after which, of course, the pralines are given to the audience to enjoy. All in all, awesome experience and lots of chocolate to be eaten as part of it, too.

Very informative exhibition about chocolate from cocoa variety, plantation, harvesting, export, and the making of variety of chocolate. The ticket is worth it. And it’s fun and interactive.

This is one of the most interactive and informative museums I have ever been to, and the audio tour was amazing. It costs about 14 euro a person, but if you combine it with tickets to the Fries Museum it’s only 20 euros so that’s a big savings 😁 I learned so much about chocolate, and the finishing demonstration (making filled chocolates) was a lot of fun to watch. The taste testing near the end was also brilliant, it’s all you can eat of 4 different kinds of chocolate! You can also answer questions on what kind of flavours and times you enjoy chocolate, and it will give you a “chocolate number” which tells you exactly what region and cocoa percentage you would enjoy the most. For example, I got 64% dark chocolate with cacao from Costa Rica! All of the numbers and corresponding chocolate are available in the gift shop, which is super fun. All in all a brilliant selection of chocolate equipment and antiques, excellent self guided tour. Would definitely recommend!

Visiting chocolate museum was amazing! Even if it was weekend and full by people you didn't had to wait for too long in order go get inside. They also have a story line in many different langauges so you can learn so much about the chocolate. They did also a live demonstration and you have the chance to taste the chocolate in 3 types white, dark or classic. After visiting chocolate museum, take a river cruise to see the beautiful city.

Great little place with the story of how chocolate came to be in Europe.. best to visit when it's quiet... Not too expensive either.

Great place to stop by for just 13€! We also did the fries museum for an extra 6€ (total 18€). Choco-story has audio-guided tours so you can go at your own pace, several floors and rooms to explore the history of chocolate, all you can eat chocolate to taste, and a praline chocolate demonstration. You can easily spend 1-2 hours here!

For kids it's fantastic to visit this place. We clubbed it with the Fries Museum, we found the chocolate museum was a great experience and you get to know many insights about the origin of cocoa and how it became available to us.. They do give chocolate shows for free and a workshop for chocolate making was paid I guess. But just to explore it's an amazing experience.

Fantastic experience! We couldn't visit the one in Brussels due to time restraints and wondered if this one would still be excellent... it was! At first, it feels like any old museum, but it ends up becoming something much more interesting towards the end.

Make sure to turn left at the bottom of the stairs when you're done, so you can see the statues, watch a live demonstration of praline making (and sampling) and have All You Can Eat Belgian chocolate! 😁

When we come to Bruges, choco-story museum is top rank of a must to visit. At first, we were curious how good it could be.

But when we did visit here, we enjoyed it a lot.

There are many people visiting this museum. Yes, it is very popular. There are several optipns of tickets to choose from:

1. Tickets only
2. Tickets with hot chocolate
3. Tickets combinding with another museum.

They gave us a small device for each one of us at the entrance. This device is very practical. We use it for scanning everything eg, entering the door, listening to each information, playing games, etc.

The museum is very well-done. There are step by step explaining about the history of the chocolate, how to gro the cacao tree, how to make the chocolate, etc.

There is a film to watch which mske us understand easier.

At the end, there is a lady demonstrating us how to make a praline chocolate. She is very entertaining and cute. We did taste that chocolate and it is yummy.

Sovenir shop has many kinds of chocolate to buy from.

This chocolate museum is just outstanding. People in reception are nice. The history tells you a lot and you can learn about chocolate. The plus is the chocolate class and the tasting. You need to do this when you are in the city.

This wonderfully interesting museum is entirely devoted to Chocolate. You start the tour finding out about the origin of the cacao bean and the mythology linked to it. Chocolate was first introduced to royalty in Europe and was a very costly commodity. I found the antique tins and Chocolate making machines interesting. There is a chocolate making demonstration as well and of course you are rewarded with a chocolate or two at the end of the tour. A most enjoyable visit indeed!

Great museum to visit with the family. Audio tour was very interesting and in-depth. They have an elevator which came in handy for the 87 year old with us who was using her walker. Chocolate tastings were a super delicious touch at the end!

Had a great day out. Very interesting to see and visit.
Lots of interactive exhibits for younger visitors. Coat and bags need to be stored at the entrance.
Option to enjoy a hot chocolate at the end for €3.
Well worth a visit if you are in town.

Tickets can be combined with other museums in the area which makes the visits a bit cheaper
