Always our first port of call when we visit Ypres. Highly recommend. Great beer, great snacks and lovely staff

Very nice and warm place. Our server was very helpful and the food and beer were delicious. They have sampler flights so you can try different beers.

My husband and I stopped here for a drink one evening. The atmosphere was fun and it seemed like everyone was enjoying themselves. The sangria was huge and very good! The staff were friendly and it's in a great location. We didn't have any food so I can't speak to that.

A great bar with a great selection of beer. Super friendly host & staff who were happy to recommend more than one or two of their draught beers, each one we enjoyed, returning for a second time to enjoy several more of their beers the following night.

We also had plates of their salami & cheese with mustard, very basic yet tasty and clearly a popular tapas dish in Ypres as its served at many places - it certainly filled a gap. It's a comfortable bar with seating outside pavement side, inside and in the rear covered garden with patio & deck heating. All beers are served in 33cl glasses, all with their respective brewery logos. You don't need more than 33cl a glass as the beers range from just over 4% proof to over 10%, each one with a unique flavour.

So if you like beer you'll love St Arnoldus, a great place to sit back & enjoy a slow glass of great beer.

Location-wise it's good, you can see the Menin Gate from the front pavement area, it's about 100 metres 🍺 🍻.

Oh yes! Such a great bar. A short stones throw from the Menin Gate so make sure you get there by or just after 8pm as it gets busy after the last post! Great selection of beers to try and very helpful and friendly bar staff and waiters. They recommend a lot of great beers to try... so much so I had to go back a second night!!

A great, vibey bar with a very large selection of beers; tapped and bottled. The lady on shift was friendly and helpful. Recommended a few beers, all of which were great. Definitely recommend!

Probably the best beer bar in Ypres, and handily places a hundred yards from the Menin Gate. Limited food. 24 beers on draft, plus many more in bottles. Try the "flights" - a selected sample of different beers if you can't decide what to have. Comfortable inside, there is also good outdoor seating with retractable roof covers if the weather turns. Highly recommended.

Impossible to find any fault with this place. From its decor to its ambience to its incredible - and I mean incredible - selection of beers, this wonderful place forms the high water mark for any bars I visit in Belgium.

In a word - outstanding.

If you like Belgium beer you will love this place. Over 25 to choose from on draught. If you can't decide the you can buy a selection of 4 at a time. Snack foods are also in offer. As I said not to be missed if you enjoy beer.

Fabulous lively lunchtime & late bar with good food & snacks led by a lovely enthusiastic team of Charlotte Evelyn & Erick. Thoroughly recommended for the beautiful town of Ypres.

Delicious food, the waffle was amazing as well as the toasted samwich, good for a quick bite and drink. Finally found a place that serves cider! Lots of options for drinks. Love the theme and decor.

This is a fantastic bar. The staff are amazing and the selection of beer is amazing. The staff are beautiful and we were in the night before New Year's Eve and they invited us to another bar for NYE as they were shut. Brilliant people, thank you for making our trip special.

Great atmosphere, and bar staff are great for advice and just friendly. I would watch out for the higher percentage beers. They do pack a punch!

Stayed in Ypres on a Leger Beer & Battlefields Tour with a group of 6 friends and on our first evening after a visit to the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate Memorial this place is literally 2 minutes walk down the road, we dropped in here and what a find.. lovely bar not too busy and an amazing menu of beers. Staff were friendly and obliging and made for an excellent evening. we also sampled the food here which was excellent too.. Would highly recommend an evening here if coming to Ypres

Wonderful location. A lot of beers. It was very crowded and the card lacks tasting descriptions but you can get a 4 x 0,15L tasting set for 12€ and there are at least 5 different tasting pack options.

Lovely bar with a great selection of beers, both local and national. The staff were helpful and friendly.
