What a place! In the middle of a village, a high quality cuisine has been now for years sharing their culinary art. Friendly and young staff will make you feel comfortable as soon as you step in.
The food has some very good quality ingredients, flavours were perfect with the season (the tomato dish was refreshing).
Outstanding lamb!!! And the cheese platter is just impressive!

For the wines, don’t take the wine list. It’s long, boring, and French 😉 ask the owner Bénédicte to bring you some hidden gems from her cellar (at a very reasonable price).

Went for a mid week lunch with my husband. Sat on the covered terrace, overlooking lovely pond and beautiful plants. The weather was glorious, the terrace spacious and we were nicely protected from the sun. Took 3 course lunch menu with matching wines. Food was very good, Fresh, seasonal, beautifully presented and without unnecessary gimmicks. Matching wines very excellent and generously served. Home made bread trolly is legendary - special mention for parmesan and roquefort breads. Wine list is very extensive and reasonably priced. Service courteous and competent. Easy parking. Can't wait to be back. Thank you to the whole team for another lovely experience.

There's a good reason this restaurant has a star. The atmosphere, food, wines and service are exceptional. Enjoyed a great night out exploring the dishes from the chef's creative mind in a culinary journey. Definately worth a visit!

Amazing food, best culinary 1-star experience in Wallonia as far as I'm concerned, great affordable wine list. On the downside the service is sometimes hesitant and it can get a bit noisy when packed. Still would definitely recommend !

Gisteren op aanraden van vrienden (hartelijk dank aan Carmen en Rudy voor de tip) voor de eerste keer in l'essentiel gaan eten. Ongelooflijke ervaring. Zeer tof kader met heel ruime tuin om zalig te aperitieven. Heel vriendelijke gastvrouw met een zeer jong, professioneel en dynamisch en vriendelijk team. Alles gebeurt hier met de glimlach. Zeer fijne en verrassende keuken. Zeer lekkere sapjes of mooie bijpassende wijnen. En dit alles aan zeer schappelijke prijzen voor een restaurant met een michelin ster. Het was ons eerste bezoek maar zeker niet ons laatste. Hier komen we zeker nog terug. Wel tijdig reserveren, ook voor een dag in de week.

Une très belle découverte tant gustative que visuelle. Des saveurs originales et très variées. Je recommande de changer le dessert par le plateau formage - absolument magnifique avec de nombreux fromages belges. Un ++ également pour le service - des jeunes gens souriants et passionnés...Enfin, le forfait vin découverte a en effet tenu toutes ses promesses.

Nous avons offert un bon à nos parents pour le menu 6 services ainsi qu’une nuit et le petit déjeuner. Ils y sont allés cette semaine et ont été ravis ! Les plats très bons et recherchés, bien présentés. La chambre superbe et très chic, petit déjeuner de qualité !

Accès et parking aisés. Assurément un coup de cœur nous concernant. Magnifique vue sur le jardin depuis notre table. Service attentionné, décontracté et très professionnel. Patronne très souriante et agréable lors de la prise de commande. Nous avions tout d’abord une légère contrainte de temps et nous avons été écoutés car tout s’est déroulé sans courir pour que nous quittions à temps. Idem pour le respect des allergènes où ils ont même adapté la mise en bouche de mon épouse. Nous remercions spécialement la patronne pour l’accueil de notre petit chien calme. Le principal maintenant : le menu. Associations de saveurs subtiles depuis les mises en bouche (le souvenir du Vitello tonnato enchante toujours mes papilles), le tartare de daurade, en passant par la volaille moelleuse et très goûtue et le dessert autour de la clémentine. Excellent vin rouge autrichien au passage. Explosions de saveurs!!! Bref, une très grande réussite pour un bon rapport qualité-prix.
