treck Hostel

I have just spent 4 nights in Treck hostel and felt very comfortable immediately thanks to the super friendly staff. I had the Mini caravan so I had a private bed and it was warm and cosy.
The hostel is very clean and shower and toilet facilities were good. There is a recreation room with plenty to do and a great seating area outside. Breakfast was continental and very nice. A lovely selection. The bar is open until 10pm and after that it is quiet so you can sleep. I don't know what dorms are like but I slept well every night in my mini caravan which was perfect for one person and had lots of storage space.
I would definitely choose Treck for my next trip to Ghent. The owner must be thrilled to have such warm and welcoming staff.

Me and my girlfriend train-hopped through Europe for three weeks and this place was probably the biggest highlight in and of itself. Fantastically unique concept, and the trailers not only look pretty -they're great and really comfortable to stay in. Kind staff, plenty of facilities and pastimes, and overall unbeatable vibes!

Just perfect ! Nice staff, delicious breakfast, awesome concept ! I don't regret to choose this place. Possible to rent bycycle directly 8 euros per day so very cheap. I slept in RETRO Caravan it was very quiet. I will come back. Clean place as well. I recommend ! Only negative thing : Far from the city center (20, 25 minutes by walk).

Stayed here with my best girlfriends for two nights. Extremely friendly staff especially Matilda she was very welcoming. There are great amenities, awesome breakfast, and clean common areas. We really appreciated all the art and the safe homey environment. Also, Next store there is a family run Cinema with great food 🤤 Definitely coming back next time I’m in the area!

Such a fun and pleasant hostel! Definitely one of the best I've ever been to! They offer breakfast, bike rental, game room and many more things! It's been fun just to explore the hostel a bit!

Awesome place! The idea of having a room in a caravan is just wonderful. The place is clean, cheap, and also not so far from the city center. Nice breakfast. The bar is located in a container: another brilliant idea. The common living room is huge: it has ping-pong table, foosball, big couches, guitar, and a small playground for the kids. Terrific hostel.

This hostel was amazing! The workers were also so helpful and kind. The pictures do not do this place justice. The breakfast was good. The vibes were immaculate. Highly recommend!

The hotel and the staff are very considerate. I arrived late from an important event so I walked 40 minutes from my friend’s place. I checked in almost 12:00 midnight. Matilda was her name if I’m not mistaken and I appreciated her patience for me. Then I was given the key, the rules as a guest and the shown the amenities. It’s really the service that matters. I recommend this for travelers. Breakfast is sumptuous and the venue has its own soul. Keep it up.

My favorite hostel I’ve ever been to. Simply great vibes. Chill, unique, good music, comfortable, friendly staff, and delicious healthy breakfast.

Rented bikes to get around easier which was worth it. I recommend taking an early morning ride to the Bourgoyen-Ossemeersen Natuurreservaat not far from the hostel.

Very fun and original hostel. A bit loud when crowded, but that’s part of the location and charm of it.

First hostel experience since COVID. And I think Treck would still be one of my best hostel, pandemic or not! A super orderly system that doesn't spoil the vibe of the hostel.

There was a great atmosphere in the social areas and outdoor bar. The staff were super friendly, humorous and helpful.

The caravan we stayed in was cool and quirky. It made for an interesting stay!

I really commend the breakfast and the bike rental. And the patio in the evenings.

Clean, very clever and close to the city center. What more could anyone want? Breakfast is simple but enough (cheese, ham, cornflakes, eggs and the ever existing belgian and dutch favorite, chocolate sprinkles). The atmosphere is relaxed, its quiet and peaceful. The themed units are great, (I stayed in Graffiti), they offer privacy but still the hostel feeling. Overall I have very much enjoyed it and will for sure stay here again if I ever find myself in Gent again!

The hostel is located at the canal, close to the city center (a few minutes by foot). The hostel itself is spacious, unique, and there is a pleasant atmosphere created by the friendly staff and the visitors (mostly travelers it seemed). There is a bar that serves as the breakfast room as well. The breakfast was better than expected. Decent showers and toilets. Good service and an overall good impression.

Amazing place with awesome concept of staying in Caravans.

If you want to experience indoor camping then this is the best place to go. Very friendly staff and good coffee to kick start your day

We had a fantastic time at Treck, the receptionist was really nice and gave us some great spots to go to in Ghent. The camper we stayed in was really cosy and clean. The hostel has a great little terrace where you can sit and have a beer or a cocktail. I'll definately stay here next time!

This place is perfect! 100% satisfied. From the moment I walked in I felt cared for. The accomodations well designed and homey. Forms clean. Bathrooms clean. The options for places to stay spectacular! I want to come back and stay for a week. Ghent is a lovely city and this hostel puts it over the top in my book. Well done!!

Facing the canal in Northwestern Ghent, Treck Hostel is a re-purposed brick factory which has been transformed into a vibsey hostel, where guests sleep inside in cosy caravans set in large open-plan rooms. Think of it sort of as indoor camping, therefore without the inconviences one faces with conventional outdoor caravaning. A spacious outdoor brick terrace with wall art, a bar with a broad selection of beer, free breakfast, it is what a hostel should be, a place for people who travel to meet fellow minded people. But what really made my stay were the staff, Matilde and Eliot. After encounting an issue with my card whilst booking, Matilde was very friendly and helpful whilst I worked on remedying the situation, which was rather hasslesome, I got there in the end and celebrated by having a beer or two with the staff. Many places would have lacked the patience or caring for one client, but not the Treck. They catered me with exceptional customer service skills, and turned what could have been a catastrophe in Ghent, being alone with no money and no where to stay, into a great night. It was a pleasure staying here and getting to know you guys!
