Great brunch / lunch place with delicious food. The carrot cake waffle is very yummy. Other food (both the savory and the sweet dishes) looked good too!

It's located a bit out of the centre, but still easy to get to. It was nice weather so we were able to sit on the terrace, which was relaxed even though it's next to the (quiet) road. The staff was very friendly. Will go back here.

Love the name and also the staff. They are simply the friendliest. Great iced caramel coffee! I want to come back to try their food, it looked perfect. Definitely check it out, it is located in a such a cool and beautiful neighborhood!!

I can't say enough how nice the staff is! Cheerful, helpful and friendly! Also, the food is clean, fresh and no nonsense straight right a-ma-zing!!!! Their Greek omelette on toast, breakfast bagel and bruschetta is top notch! When you are there get two carrot cake waffles. Unforgettable culinary experience!

We saw the reviews on Google and decided to try this out this cafe since we didn’t want to go downtown into Gent for breakfast.
This cafe is a delight in every sense of the word. Loved the bright, friendly interior deco which immediately puts one in a good mood.
And then we met the two young ladies working here. The warm welcome we (and our big dog Jaden) received was amazing.
The fact that the young ladies went the extra mile to make sure that Jaden also got something to eat that was “dog friendly” and not on the regular menu is more than exceptional service. And it wasn’t as if Jaden hadn’t eaten 😎 - he was just shamelessly begging for food and what we had on our plates wasn’t “dog compatible”. Jaden of course loved the ladies all the more for the personal attention he got and didn’t want to leave.
Our food was delicious too.
Thank you for the lovely start to the day and we will definitely be back.

Lovely brunch place! We had the grand granola, greek garden & breakfast bruschetta. Food was amazing and the interior is very cosy! Loved that they served free water too. Would definitely recommend!

One of the few places in Ghent where dishes and drinks can be made vegan or gluten-free without an additional cost AND that’s offering free tap water. The food is great and the owner is lovely. Very cosy place. I do recommend to make reservations when visiting during the weekend though, since it is very popular with both locals and tourists - and rightfully so!

Fantastic food, atmosphere and service. This is a cliche but it definitely is a hidden gem in Ghent. I had the breakfast bagel, waffles and Greek Omelette. All three were spectacular. Coffee is amazing as well. The cafe is on a corner so it's great to sit inside or outside (in summer). The staff is extremely polite, helpful and friendly. Will definitely visit again if I'm in Ghent.

this is the first time that we have eaten , the service was good and professional. The food choices were a little limited but still tasty.
The coffee was decent, but they do offer you choice of lactose free milk :)

What a lovely cafe! My wife, dog, and I arrived in Ghent to a very cold and windy day and were lucky to find this place to take a break from the weather. The staff were kind, and despite the fact that our dog was feeling grumpy and decided to bark at them (what a rude and ungrateful boy!) they were extremely understanding and friendly.

To drink:
I had an iced chai latte and my wife had a dirty chai. Apparently we chose well, as a few locals stopped by and all also ordered and recommended the chai drinks. Ours were perfectly delicious; I understand why they are so popular!

To eat:
I had a yoghurt bowl with homemade granola that was exquisite. Easily the best yoghurt bowl I have had in my life. My wife ordered a single waffle and a pastel de nata, both of which were amazing.

A perfect experience in all ways, save that our dog decided to behave a little poorly. How embarrassing! Much love to this cafe and their lovely staff.

Beautiful interior, bright, colourful and charming. The service was quick, very attentive and friendly and the food was delicious! I had the small granola, my companion the Greek omelette and we shared the carrot cake waffles. No complaints, everything was lovely and I will return soon!

Probably the best waffles that I have ever eaten ! We share the carrot cake waffles and the breakfast bagel, excellent combination of flavors! The waitress was very kind and attentive, the place is beautiful, I truly recommend this place without any doubt ❤

Just had Easter brunch at Desayuno. The place opened recently, so I had to check it out. The coffee is great, the food is excellent (had the greek garden, the bruschetta and the grand granola) and the service very friendly! I like the interior decoration, especially the coat hangers are a nice touch. They also have a dedicated laptop-friendly section. Visiting again for sure!

Love love love this place! Lovely people, great coffee and delicious food. Been here 3 times in 2 months and will definitely be back soon.
