The food was delicious, eggs benedict on point and also the çilbir that I didn’t know before was very tasty. Coffee was great as well and they served us tap water with all the food and coffee, which is a very simple extra niceness in the area and will certainly make me come back.

The combination of the taste in one plate is just a heaven, the vibes and the smile of the people just amazing, the quality deserves the prices. Even the smell of the soap is unique.🤌🏼🤍

As a cafe hopper and I would say franz gustav is beyond great. The foods especially the scone is superb! It was the best scone I had eaten so far 😉 And the staffs is super friendly!!! Overall it was a pleasant experience! I would definitely go back! TOP!

I really wish I had taken more pictures of the inside of this place. Lots of detail that makes it feel really cozy. They had me sit at the bar because they were going to be really packed as the morning rolled on. Totally fine with me as I wanted to take my time, finish my book and enjoy my breakfast and a good coffee before catching my train back to Germany.

I got a vanilla iced latte macchiato and the trio of mushrooms eggs Benedict. It's pretty impossible for me to not order Benedict when I see it on a menu, especially since not many places have it in Germany. This was a wonderful dish. It wasn't served on an English muffin but more of a sweet bread, which worked so well with the savory mushroom flavors. The coffee hit the spot. Wish I had one more day to come back here!

Wow. Just ... unbelievable. This is by far the best breakfast/brunch I had in Ghent. To be fair, the home-made iced tea and lemonade could've used some tuning up (yes, I'm offering my services here 😛), but when we tasted the eggs benedict with pulled chicken ... I almost fell from my chair, that's how good it was! It had the perfect touch of acidity from the Hollandaise sauce with the savory and expertly made pulled chicken, perfectly boiled eggs and yummy bread. It was pure HEAVEN! This deserves an applause 👏

And the same goes for the American pancakes, that were just so fluffy and rich in flavor. I love how the strawberries were so delicious (I come from a region that produces a lot of fruit, so I have a taste for it).

The scone that we had was super good, too. The flavor was perfect and it had the right crispiness. Clotted cream is my favorite type, but the best of this dish was the jam that went with it 🤤

Anyway, thanks soooo much for this delight and for the great service we had, even though it was really busy. This made our day 🙏

You must try the humus and de Labneh, the best that I ever had. I had the Tuna tataki pancake and it was very good.

If you want breakfast done right, this is the place to be. The cappuccinos are divine, everything is fresh and good quality. We had eggs Benedict and they were the best we have ever had. Recommend.

We stumbled to this spot away from the center for a late breakfast/brunch. Despite all the tables being full outside, the kind server bought us a table from the inside and set it up on the terrace.
We order an eggs benedict and the pancakes, both dishes far exceeded expectations. The ingredients were fresh and high quality. We ended the meal with the egg soldiers my friend was excited to show me. Again the egg was cooked perfectly with the liquid center characteristic of the egg soldier.
If I am ever in Ghent, definitely coming back here for the good food and the very friendly service.

Just a very nice place to go for brunch or lunch. (Think they also do apero) They are indeed quite busy so service can be somewhat on the slower side. But they more than make up for it through the friendliness, great atmosphere and quality of food and drinks.

Great brunch on a Sunday morning! The food was really great and the waiters very friendly. It can get quite busy and a bit crowded especially when the first customers are leaving after beakfast and the next wave enters the restaurant. Enjoyed it a lot and will definitely go there again!

Amazing breakfast and treatment. young happy people that makes u feel like at Home. We ordered scrambles eggs with salmon. Big portion for 8.50€ and all bread included. A must to go in Ghent. Book a table will be better for crowded days ;)
