Consouling Store

Really good selection of metal on CD and vinyl. I think it's one of the only metal music shops in Belgium, at least with this type of specialized catalogue. Connected to the Consouling Sounds label.
Really nice people, good music on the speakers, and you can have a coffee or soft drink as well.

Living in Australia, we're not able to get our hands easily on a lot of material from Belgian bands. I try to visit CS every year to grab a few albums. Mike is very friendly and helpfull.
Highly recommended to anyone with in interest in the darker type of music.

Great vinyl and cd selection, mostly but not limited to harder rock and metal genres (post, black, death, doom, stoner, sludge, psych, ...). But also the more off the beaten path (darker) electronics can be found here.
Also has a selection of t shirts, hoodies and other bandwear from a few of the label's bands.
There's a very nice webshop as well, and the shop offers local pickup if you want to just order online and save on shipping.

Outside of covid times, sometimes has related art exhibitions and in store performances.
Plus, you can get coffee or tea here and have a chat with the uber friendly owner and staff. Such nice people!

They work with and release a lot of local established and upcoming Belgian bands.

I was in this shop few minutes algo, with 4 kids, the guy is really friendly, he showed me where is the Metal stuff and very kind all the time, small shop but a lot of músic inside. LOVE IT!!! I'll keep buying un this store by internet for shure.

Amazing store, owned and operated by friendly and interesting people. We really enjoyed our visit and highly recommend it to anyone in the vicinity of Ghent. Can't wait to listen to the records we bought!

Best alternative rock music selection in gent. Mike the owner is an encyclopaedia of information and helpful and friendly.

An excellent range in underground quality music combined with quality coffee makes it always al pleasure shopping here.

Super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Blij dat ik ook meteen mijn favoriete platen heb kunnen toevoegen aan mijn collectie!

J'ai commandé un tee-shirt sur leur site pour Noël, le colis s'est perdu. Ian a fait le necessaire pour le retrouver et m'a finalement renvoyé un autre article sans difficulté. C'est très agréable d'avoir à faire à des gens honnêtes et gentils. Je recommande vivement ce site !

Hele leuke platen/cd winkel met super vriendelijke uitbaters. Die altijd klaar staan voor een leuke babbel.
Je kan er ook lekkere koffie, thee of frisdrank drinken.
Dat maakt de winkel juist zo anders dan alle andere platenzaken.

Ik was dinsdagmiddag in Gent, stuurde een berichtje of ik eventueel een plaatje van Poltrock en De Roover - Vacuüm kon afhalen gezien ik in Gent was dinsdag hun (sluitingsdag). Waarop ik snel antwoord op ontving dat ze volop in meetings en magazijnwerk hebben. Maar van zodra dat in de vroege avond achter de rug is ging hij mij iets laten weten om eventueel verder af te spreken. In de vroege avond rond 17h00 ontving ik daadwerkelijk een berichtje dat ik om mijn plaatje kon langskomen dat ik wenste voor mijn collectie te vervoldigen. Zelf tijdens zijn sluitingsdag neemt Mike de tijd voor je verder te helpen. Kortom wat een service, deze zaak doet zich met hart en ziel. Hier zit echt muziek in! 🎶 Nogmaals bedankt om mij verder te helpen Mike, doe zo verder! ♥
