It’s one of the most hospitable places I’ve been.

No wonder, since it’s a family business; Phillip, the owner, is very welcoming, accommodating and he was flexible to our schedule. His mother is the cook and let me tell you - she is a PHE-NO-ME-NAL cook! I could stay there just for the food (and the desserts 🤤). And Nadia, Phillip’s daughter, works with the horses. As far as I can tell, she’s probably amazing with horses too. She wasn’t there when I visited, but the horses I rode and others that I observed during the hacks were really good - very well mannered, responsive and consistent to cues. And surprisingly fearless to dogs, cars, dirt bikes, etc!

And it’s not just that they know what they are doing. They also love horses. You could tell that not only by the way they treat the horses they ride, but also by the fact that they have horses that they don’t put to work; a couple due to age, others due to chronic injuries. They have “retired” them to spend the rest of their lives happily in the farm, instead of working them up until the end.

I’m definitely going to visit that place again!

NOTE: Probably a good idea to drive there in a 4x4 car, as the last part of the road leading to the hotel isn’t paved (about 2km). I drove in my Opel Corsa, doing a couple of trips per day - it’s doable, but you’d have to be careful.

The place is surrounded by mountains and forest, they have horses walking free everywhere around the property.
The guest house is nice and neat, the rooms are very comfy and spacious. Is a great place for relax with the family, for couples or solo travelers who wants to enjoy the silence and the nature environment, away from busy and noisy city life.

The horse riding club is located in a beautiful remote forest up in the mountains, with a river running by and mesmerizing views, untouched nature and fresh air. The horse riding route runs through this forest, leaving unforgettable memories. The personnel is friendly, speak sufficient English and are very attentive. We had the most delicious lunch there with mountain tea and local delicacies. It's a place, where all problems go away and you become one with the nature, with free horses walking around, bunnies and farm birds. We would love to come back and visit in all 4 seasons ! Highly recommended for all type of tourism - solo, couple, families . We would love to come back to see this place during all 4 seasons !

We went on an hour and a half horse riding in the forest with lovely view.
Nadia and Robert were both professional, kind and patient. Both speaking fluent English.
Nadia specifically was extra nice and caring about our experience.

We have had an amazing time! 6 days of excellent service, comfortable rooms and the food was superb, and so much of it,all cooked to the finest quality.
My partner, myself and my 16 year son were complete beginners to horse riding and came to learn not knowing what to expect. Day one started with a lesson in the mornung and by the afternoon we were out in the mountains and by day 3 cantering on a 4 hour mountain trek taking us all by surprise.
Nadia is a great teacher and her patience was greatly appreciated. The horses all had different characters and we rode different horses to learn different styles of riding. Thank you everyone at Rusaliite! Brilliant week had by us all.

Lovely hotel in the mountains. Peaceful place in the middle of nature, not far away from (overcrowded) Bansko. Friendly staff. Yesterday I enjoyed for the second time a traditional Бъдни Вечер, together with other guests, the family who owns the hotel and the rest of the staff. Good place to start hiking.

We are a couple in our late twenties from Sweden who stayed at Rusaliite in october this year for five days. We had an amazing time to say the least!
Philip, the owner, was very accommodating and helpful and made our stay more enjoyable than we could have imagined. His mother, who cooked and fixed all our super tasty meals, was an amazing chef and even though I’m a vegetarian she was very flexible and could prepare very delicious meals for both me and my boyfriend who eats meat. The atmosphere blends peacefulness and adventure to cater to anyone who wishes to have an amazing experience in a beautifully scenic landscape around horses.
The horses are extremely well trained, well looked after and often very forgiving (we noticed as my boyfriend isn’t an experienced rider). It is obvious that Philip and his mother are passionate about their horses as well as providing a once in a lifetime experience to those who wish to get away from the city and have a wonderful experience with and around horses. We only have good things to say and we will definitely be visiting them again!

Very nice place, i wish i could have stayed more, but for sure i'll come back here in my next visit to the rila mountains and to ride horses in this amazing location!

If you like nature, amazing views, pleasant forest walk or horse ride or just lazing in the sun you should visit Rusaliite. You will also find relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, home made dishes and children playground. And I believe you will not miss anything.

Great place. A little hard to get there (the last 2 km it is a rough road) but the place is amazing! Farm animals, horse riding, restaurant with great food and lovely staff.

If you love animals, that's a great place to be because there's a lot of them there and they are treated with love and respect. The owners are really warm and nice people and it's great to be around them 😊

perfect place with kids. all that you want - horses, great food, great atmosphere, great service. keep navigating with google maps, waze is no good.

A bit difficult to get there but plenty of things to do, apart from eating, like tracking or Hocking, horse riding, bow shooting. There is a kids playground too.

Great place for a quick charge up. Ride 🏇, shoot with a bow or just enjoy the beautiful landscape and the mountains around

Great place :) We were there for a few days and the kids loved it!
