Tavern Gorski Kat Oreshak

Located in immediate closiness to Troyan monastery, the Mehana offers great atmosphere, excellent service and tasty food! My travelers and I enjoyed everything as we were welcomed by a waiter, who spoke English, was smiling and attentive. The orders were taken quickly after some explanations on what the typical meals were.

The food was great, the portions were big, and it was cheaper compared to other restaurants that maintain the same high level standards. Service was also good, even got a special dessert on the house in the end. I recommend! :)

This was the best authentic Bulgarian restaurant I have been to so far. The food, service and atmosphere could not have been better!

I've dined here quite a few times - both in the garden in summer, and inside during winter. The atmosphere is always great. You can tell how much effort has been put in the place itself. I would like to point out the friendly staff - there is always someone around who can help you if you need to order something. Another absolute plus in my books is that inside smoking is not allowed (except for e-cigs). I would definitely recommend.

It's the second time I have been visiting the restaurant. Everything is perfect - food selection, sizes of the dishes, service, atmosphere. The only one negative side is the prices- a bit to high.
