Tavern "Magic of Rila"

This is our second time at Magic of Rila: Such a wonderful place to grab great food along the fast mountainous river and minutes from the ancient Rila Monastery. Menu is packed with stunning traditional dishes and all we tried were a tasty example of centuries old BG recipes. People at the place were truly accommodating and pleasant and I'd say 'Thanks' for the unforgettable culinary experience.

Great place to eat after touring the Rila area. The atmosphere is just great. The only down side is the service - they should probably add a waiter or two...

Nice place at the river. Went there several times already. Good food and reasonable prices. You have to wait a little longer for your order, but this is normal considering that on weekends the place is always full.

Beautiful place with delicious fresh fish from the river and a beautiful location. One could say that the name is very accurate for what it serves.

Very open space, ideal for combining with a visit to the Rila Monastery. We had the perfect service, from a waiter at age who was constantly running and stayed very friendly. They should hire more waiters though. Food was traditionally Bulgarian - tasteful, and there is an open grill that makes the experience complete. The table was right next to some running water, so with the right weather, this place is worth a visit if you like some casually relaxed lunching in the nature.

Amazing food and really popular restaurant. Be patient, cause you might wait for a table a while.

A nice stop before the Rila Monastery the atmosphere with the fire place is very nice and the restaurant is well maintained. We enjoyed the food and service.

Stayed here two nights with my girlfriend in August of 2021. Setting for dinning area is fantastic with the rushing brook and flower garden. The price per the spartan, but clean and cozy room was great. Food - and we had dinners and breakfast - was damn tasty. Staff viewed us (Americans without knowledge of language or proper customs) with a mixture of suspicion and mild amusement, but ultimately provided us everything we needed. Only thing is when they saw my baseball and glove, they shook their heads and didn't let us play a little catch on the lawn... Probably a good call.

A restaurant with a spectacular place, river side. Very good and fresh fishes and meals, clean toilets and clean restaurant. Good prices, quick service. A great place to visit by the way.

Very pleasant place with amazing food 😋 I do recommend trout on charcoal. It's very close to the riverbank and one could enjoy the great sounds of the nature.
