Plovdiv International Airport

Very friendly airport stuff. Small, well organized airport. Not so many people like on Sofia airport. I prefer traveling from the Plovdiv airport 😊 I hope they get flights to more destinations soon.

Super quick security check. Everyone is very polite and professional and I’d love to use this airport any time I could…I wish they have more flight coming out of Bulgaria from here. Super clean bathrooms and enough space to sit and wait for your flight. Definitely recommend

Friendly and very helpful staff at all stages of airport check in, security, etc. I have never seen more humane manner from airport staff to all passengers without any exceptions. Outstanding level of English at check in (red haired lady) that I have never heard before at airports in Bulgaria.

Although small, the airport does not lack any service you may need. Clean and tidy.

Small airport, has everything you need, friendly staff & only a 20 minute drive from city

I flew on 1st of January 2020 for a first time from here to UK.
Unlike the other negative comments bellow,
My experience was satisfactory,
Quite airport wit 2-4 Flights a day 2 from and for Russia and 2 from and to UK .
The Moscow Flight was cancelled but one I have been on departed.
Overall clean inside and out,toilets in good condition.
Temperature check on the Entrance,

Checking in all went good,
Security checks(required plastic bags for liquids from before you enter the checking,I advise to get them before hand like me) All scanned and narcotic checks completed fast.
Border Control went fast.
If you want to buy cigarettes or any other tobacco products they are before you check inn,after the check in is only 1 shop which has some snacks,candies and alcohol but no tobacco products at all.
Ryanair Plane was Sanitised inside before boarding(I was surprised)
I would Recommend Flying from Plovdiv Airport !!!

New airport, very nice. Parking is not expensive. Easy transfer to centre of Plovdiv

Nice little airport, only 2 or 3 flights a day. Park right outside, no long term car park buses to worry about. There are a couple of small cafes and duty free outlets, but don't expect an unlimited selection like you get at major international airports. Plovdiv city itself is also well worth a visit, with its ancient remains.

A small airport. With everything you need. A couple of flights a day. Passport and security are quick if you are prepared. But there is always one person who expects special treatment for their laziness or stupidity. Toilets are clean. Duty is small but everything you need. Including a great turkey sub. Small cafe with tea coffee sort drinks and cans of beer.

I will give this Airport 5 stars, because staff is incredibly friendly and working very fast. Free WiFi, very near to the city. Very small and you can find everything so easy.
For all who does not have own transport please note you have arrange it. Also not too many dutty free shops and hot food.
But still 5 stars for the service!

I love Plovdiv airport.Simple not over run by shops.Good checking service , security good and quick but safe.Seating comfortable.From landing to collecting bags and passport control 30mins.If you have no bags to collect been through in 15mins.Good cheap parking at airport. 3 levs per hour.This airport does what it should and and nothing more nothing less.

Compared to other airports served by Ryanair, Wizzair & co, Plovdiv Airport is more spacious, comfortable and surprisingly well-organized! It's always a pleasure to fly directly to Plovdiv! Quick check-in without long waiting times. The personnel is also very friendly. When I forgot my hand luggage trolley after the security check a few days ago and noticed it only on the plane shortly before push-back, the airport employee at the passenger stairs immediately took care of it and an airport official rushed to bring me the trolley directly to the aircraft door! Thanks for this and high praise to the staff!

Small airport, but the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The checks go very quickly and without any problems. There is a small duty free shop.

Great airport friendly staff!

I love flying via this airport, the service is always quick and it's very easy to navigate - though not immune to the delays of summer 2022. A great place to launch into the oldest parts of the country and its Thracian history!

Off the plane and on the train.
Simple, easy and very effective.
Now this is the makings of a first class, well thought out city.
Don’t be fooled by it’s size.
This airport has more amenities than a counter part double in size.
I recommend not only this airport, but spending a weekend in the City of Sofia.
If you don’t you are truly missing out. !!!

Very nice airport, although it´s quite small. This is understandable having in mind that there are just few flights a week. After the renovation it´s very plesant. Check-ins are realy quick. Very little amount of stores and coffee shops, but this is not a big problem. Consider it a way to save some money. :)

I recomand it, i find it quiet, with a few services, coffe shop and a few basic stufs, it was clean and the staff was nice, its a small airport but its fine, cheek in, drop off bags and security was prety fast . For me its all i need it !
