Imagine a restaurant based it food and service focused on a region. This is Mocotó! You won't regret the visit. Very polited and informed staff, even when you arrive minutes to close be sure you will be well served.
Don't let to try the pork chip. One of the best entries.
In our last visit I Ordered a Rabada. Was wonderful.

This restaurant serves delicious Brazilian food, service was great. We ordered carne de sol, baiao de dois and escondidinho everything was delicious, served two people. Location is a little bit far from tourist places but worth going all the way to this place, make a reservation to avoid line, we had to wait for 45min because we didn’t had a reservation, there’s place to sit while waiting and order drinks or appetizers.

Genuine Brazilian gastronomy with amazing food and great service. Its an icon spot that you must check out. The Chef and owner is always around stopping by the tables and have king a conversation with costumer. Is really enjoyable spending some time over there. You have to check it out.

My second time here; even though it's extremely popular and usually has lineups, they have a comfortable waiting area where they serve drinks and appetizers.
The food is simply incredible and a must for anyone who wants to experience Brazilian cuisine.
Get the mocoto soup and share a few of the dishes (they're all well served). Leave room for dessert because they're absolutely to die for.

Mocotó is a must when in Sao Paulo, and São Paulo is big. Huge. Everything great about Brazilian northern food taken to another level. Amazing.

Went here after work alone and loved it. It can be seen to be away from the usual touristy areas but it's well worth it. Food was absolutely incredible!

Very Brazilian food, generally a wait but you can order food and drinks while you’re waiting. I arrived about 12:30pm on a Sunday and was told a 40 minute wait but was actually a 1 hour wait. And I had a baby (preferencial) só expect to wait a bit if you are not preferencial. But it was no problem bc we had already had 5 appetizers and some drinks at the terrace which was very nice. Carne de sol sausage was good, carne de sol carpaccio was good, yuca chips were too oily, pirarucu with cashew nut farofa was amazing, mocofava soup is very flavorful and fatty. Drinks are great, a bit on the sweet side so ask for less sugar. Parking in a lot across from the restaurant. The bread is very good also.

Perfect pit stop on the way to the airport!! Absolutely amazing food and a storage space for luggage with a security guard standing watch over everyone’s things. We were not the only ones taking a lunch break on the way out of town. Very large serving sizes, expect to share. Not slow but not fast service, just be sure to have time to enjoy your meal. No reservations for lunch but a very large restaurant. Uber there and Uber away was not a problem at all. Flavors of the food were unique, fresh and distinctly Brazilian.

Super tasty food for a decent price! The service was great but nothing extraordinary. The tapioca cubes were nice but I do not understand the hype of reviews surrounding them, underwhelming. However the beef stew and the special family recipe dish was amazing!!!

Been several times over the last few years and it never disappoints and its always good Lively and fun. This restaurant has excellent drinks and can really make the ultimate caipirinha.
Food is outstanding the dadinhos de tapioca and the Piracuru are fantastic. it is always full but have a drink as you wait.

Authentic North Brazilian food. Highly recommended, full of flavours. Staff were very friendly and the ambiance was good. Bit of a maze to find the place but worth the little hassle as the restaurant has family history!

Food was delicious! The best one I had in São Paulo, I enjoyed so much everything I tried. The caipirinha was amazing as well, the best one for me was the lemon one 🤤

If you've got a delayed flight in Guarulhos airport and wanna taste genuine brazilian northeastern food, try this restaurant. Nice place with delicious food and esquisite drinks. I do recommend!

Amazing food from Brazil northeast, huge portions (be aware of it), great drinks (I recommend the Maria Bonita with Caju) and the most traditional spices one can think of

During weekends, lines can take 1h, so don't go if you're in a rush

Amazing restaurant, great service and food!

As starters, the "Dadinhos de tapioca" is a must and also the "Isca de pintado empanado".

The main dish was the "Carne de sol" and "Baião de dois" with "puré de mandioca, farofa and chips de mandioca" all super tasty.

To drink you should definitely try the "caipirinha" of the day or if you're more like a beer person their extra white undrafted beer.

Great northern food, I didn't have time to take a pic of my main course but it was fantastic, the seasoning and all. It was baião de dois, btw.
The entrée was also great, I asked for dadinho de tapioca.
And the desert, I can't even put it in words, so tasty

8 meal Michelin star food for $40 including drinks that fills you for the entire day - are you kidding me? Amazing and will definitely come back
