City of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts - Major Beach

I’m too jealous to write a review for this beach. Cause it was awesome. I hope if more people come they don’t downgrade this place.

Major Beach is one of our favorites, not far from the city of Montreal. We came here last June 30, 2022 and it was perfect! Only few families around. We are family of 4 (kids: 5&7), paid 32$ for entrance and parking is free. You're not allowed to BBQ in the area, so bring your own food. But there was 1 cute food truck in the area and the owner was nice & courteous.

It's a perfect beach (lake) for kids: fine sands, calm water and quite/relaxing (weekdays). You can bring your own beach umbrella/tent, your also allowed to use floaties. There were 2 lifeguard stations when we came. Not a long walk from parking to the beach. Picnic tables were around the trees. They also have a playground in the area. Changing room is open but need a little bit of renovation. There's a rental boats on the side of the lake too.

Highly recommended!

One of the best beaches arround Montréal, no BBQ, no loud music, sandy beach, clear water, free parking. 12 $ for adult.

It's a beautiful place, to go in family, friends or alone😍 have the services like bathrooms and showers, fud truck, area for kids, and you can rent equipment such as a kayak at affordable prices. If you go one time, I'm sure you will go back. 😉

Excellent place with lots of road side parking and benches. Lake, mountain, trees!!! What else do you need for a lovely evening!!!

Family friendly! Smokers have to exit the beach, and they clean up everyday after closing. It’s crowded but nice. Water is also mostly shallow so great for the kids.

If you are looking for some pickleball ball a great group is there in the AM. Very friendly.

What nice place for kids to play not far from Montreal.

The beach is clean, water was good. There are a few shaded spots and a nice playground area for children. The bathroom/ changing rooms were fairly clean and you get free passes if you're staying at the Parc des Campeurs right across the street. It started to get very crowded around noon.

The beach is very well kept. We went there after going for a hike and it made our day just perfect. It has a very spacious area for picnics and the sand area is quite wide as well. Great to go with kids

Unexpectedly, this was a wonderful place for summer water activities. The beach is clean and has everything one might need. Of course, by noon it was pretty crowded, bun still not bad and plenty is nice spots available.

Beautiful place, nice beach, clear water. Many small rocks when going into the water, best to bring water shoes. Toilets near by, overall very satisfied.

Overall satisfied. However, don’t forget your debit card. Cash and credit card not accepted.

Beautiful beach north of Montréal.

Clean artificial beach on clean blue freshwater lake, with people sun bathing with chilly winds (around 18-20°C) blowing, enjoying beach games. It's one of thousands of clean blue refreshing fresh water lakes in Québec region of Canada which freeze during winter.

We had lots of fun at this beach. Very clean and the water was great to swim in. My family and friends really enjoyed it. I would def recommend.
