The Cat's Meow Inn

Thank you so much to the Cat's Meow Inn for taking care of our cat while we were away on vacation. It was nice knowing he was in the hands of people who truly care about our feline friends. We also enjoyed the pictures/updates on Facebook.

When we dropped him off, he settled in right away. We loved the cat TV they had (aka the bird feeders) for when they could go in their outside enclosure and bird watch.

The facility was nice and clean and the fireplace made it nice and cozy for the cats.

This was our first time taking our 6 month old kitten to a boarder and we were 100% comfortable leaving her in Cassandra and David's care. Cassandra posts photos of the cats on Facebook regularly, which allowed us to see how she was doing. They play with the cats individually each day and keep your cat's regular feeding schedule. Ellie LOVED having access to her outside cage where she could watch the birds all day long. It is a bit of a drive from Ottawa, but definitely worth it for the prices and care they offer at The Cat's Meow Inn.

This was our first time boarding our cat Boo. We went with the Cat's Meow on a recommendation from a neighbour who used to run her own cat boarding facility, and it was definitely the right choice. Great communication and wonderful people. Boo was so happy and relaxed when he got home, you could tell he enjoyed his vacation at the Cat's Meow! He will definitely be back the next time we travel.

They were AWESOME!!!

We had to leave our two kittens (they were 11 months old) for 2 months!!!! We were moving from Ottawa to Victoria and in between we had to leave the country. We were so worried but we had to! When I saw Cat’s meow inn’s place, I fell in love with it. But still.. leaving your two fur babies? For two months? They’re not going to forgive us :( Long story short.. it turns out they had great time, they weren’t even a bit angry with us, they didn’t give us the silent treatment (or any kind of bad reaction), they were just happy to see us (I had 2 cats before these ones and a dog and I had to leave them from time to time, you can feel when they were happy or sad. These ones.. it was as if they had the greatest time of all, their own vacation and they were perfectly healthy and fantastically taken care of. Cassandra and Dave putting their pictures on their facebook page often was another great touch. I don’t want to ever leave them but in case I will have too, I would fly all the way from Victoria to Ottawa for them to stay in this beautiful place with these beautiful people.

Cassandra has helped out family out tremendously over the last year (maybe longer). My husband has terrible cat allergies and being able to take our cat, Olive to her every few weeks for a bath and cut has kept us from having to make the hard choice of rehoming her.

Our cat is very shy and has been to a few groomers. Once going to Cassandra, Olive seems so relaxed when we pick her up! I love the product she uses because Olive doesn't come home smelling of perfume. I am so appreciative of her and the little haven she has created for cats and their grooming and/or vacation needs!

We are so fortunate to have “found” this incredible place. Our 17 year old cat was diagnosed with diabetes several years ago and while we’ve had friends who have generously looked after him in the past while we travelled, most of them have retired and are travelling as well. Danny spent the first two weeks of June at the Inn. He was loved and petted by Cassandra and David (and assistant Sherry) and we felt secure knowing his insulin was administered every day. I wish we could give ten or more stars for the Cat’s Meow Inn for their diligence in ensuring every resident has up-to-date vaccinations, a veterinary contact and personal contact information. Even though we were out of Canada we knew either Cassandra or David would be in touch if required. And the fact that they live next to the Inn was an added comfort. Highly recommend.

We have used their service twice and each time have felt very comfortable leaving our cats there. They pay much attention to detail. Thank you.

We are so lucky we found this home away from home for our kitties. David and Cassandra run a wonderful service that far exceeds anything we've seen. All cats are housed in two lovely little buildings on their property (they look like little houses), complete with gorgeous tile floors, wood stoves and private outdoor runs for each kitty guest. The owners are warm and knowledgeable about cats, and they spend time with each of their furry guests, helping them to feel happy and comfortable. I can't recommend The Cat's Meow Inn enough!

This was our first time boarding a cat, and we could not have picked a more wonderful place. The place is beautiful and spotless, and David and Cassandra provided excellent, patient and loving care. I would not hesitate to recommend the Cat's Meow Inn, or to leave our cat in their care again.

I took my cat to the Cat's Meow Inn for the first time and I am very very happy with them. Cassandra is wonderful she found a way to win my Bengal's trust simply amazing. David kept me updated because she wasn't eating but Cassandra won her trust and Honey started to eat. I can finally take some vacation because I finally found a place I can trust with my cat and she will be well taken care of. The amount of time Cassandra spend with my cat paid off. There will definitely be more time. Honey is back home she check everything out it's all up to her standards I lost my house I'm back living in the cat's house and right now I have a Bengal with a fried brain totally in lala land.

Casandra and Dave truly love all the cats in their care. I had to leave my two kitties Alex and Finnigan with them for the first time so my fiance and I could visit family over the holidays. I was super nervous about it as Alex has medical issues that need daily medication and Finnigan is just a shy boy. But Dave and Casandra saw to all their needs and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them! (Just be sure to book early for christmas time lol)

Updating my rating to 10 out of 5 stars! Love Cat’s Meow! They always make our kitties feel right at home (even our skittish one). And when I accidentally forgot my fur-babies’ dry food, David and Cassandra went out of their way to pick up our kitties’ favourite brand. I can’t say enough good things about Cat’s Meow. They’re definitely the cat’s meow! ~ Wendi

Cassandra and David go above and beyond! Not only do they take great care of the cats, their facilities are fabulous, extremely clean and they go above and beyond to make our pets feel welcome and loved! I am a vet student and am very particular about my cats and The Cats Meow is the only place I would leave them knowing they will be well cared for and safe! The cats always come home healthy and happy! It is the equivalent of the cats Ritz! :D

Our 7 cats have stayed with Cassandra and David on many occasions and not only are our kitties happy but we have peace of mind knowing they are being treated with love as part of the family. The Cat's Meow Spa excels in care, attention and cleanliness! It is our cats' home away from home!

There is no way to properly explain on how our cat is so pampered by Cassandra and David every time we board her at their location. My cat even knows when we are going there. She will complain in the car all to way to Perth and then it strikes her on where we are heading and stops. Now just when you think they could not make the experience any better, they are now offering a grooming service. We have been using this service at least once a year. The pictures of her purring while getting her bath is precious. My cat comes home now with less loose hairs and her coat is so shiny. If you have not used this service yet, I highly recommended it. Now whether your cat will appreciate you after, that is another story.

Our experiences for our pet at the Cat's Meow are first rate. Cassandra and David are obvious cat lovers. Our cat is always happy to go there as he quickly jumps into his 3 level unit which is clean and bright with a view to the outdoors. We always leave our pet at the Cat's Meow with the utmost of confidence.

We've boarded our cats many times with Cassandra and David. It's such a treat to deal with them, and the cats are well-cared-for. The facility is clean and attractive, with several options for housing the cats, including outdoor runs. I would definitely recommend the Cat's Meow Inn!

I can't rate The Cat's Meow high enough! Six stars? Seven stars? Immediately upon entering we were immersed in a warm, safe and caring environment. Our cat loved his time there (he came home happy as can be) and the Facebook photo updates were adorable. Cassandra and David even arranged for an alternate pickup time for us to avoid the ice storm. We will definitely be boarding our kitty there in the future!

Our Tess has been so happy at her vacation home. She has been going to “camp” for 9 years, now and has never scolded us for leaving her for a month. After being treated like royalty by Cassandra and David why would she? The facility is first class! And yes, it’s worth the 45 minute drive during which Tess displays her fear and hatred of driving!!! Once she’s settled in she never thinks of us again.
