Fernand-Seguin Ecological Centre

Super quiet woods. We went end of August, the mosquitoes were so aggressive and very big (bring insect repellent &dress fully covered). You will see a lot of chipmunks, different varieties of mushrooms and af course birds. Rest area is well maintained. Great place to take in some much needed fresh air.

The utilities are amazing. Very clean space. The trails are well marked and there is seating along the way if you want to pause. There are wooden “bridges” on certain parts of the paths where it is muddier. There are still muddy spots so keep your eyes out not to slip. It’s also possible to do mountain biking or cross-country skiing. Family-friendly. There is more than enough parking. It is busy on the weekends but not so much that it’s disruptive. It is cooler under the trees so I usually wear layers. Beautiful in the Fall!

We love this short trek through the woods. The walking path is about 2.4k. There are picnic tables in the woods or if you prefer there is a nice air conditioned eating area at the entrance and exit. Great for those who appreciate the woods.

Very nice walk through the forest. Even better, it’s free! Easy to get to nature reserve just around the corner from downtown Châteauguay. This was my first time there and I loved it. It’s about 3.5 km’s of easy to navigate paths. I would very much come back.

This is a small local area for nature lovers in the Chateauguay and Lery area.
A beautiful hike in this nature forest approximately 4 km in the summer but can be fairly extended in the winter for snowshoeing as well as x-country sking. There is a hill that they use for tobogganing for the younger ones. There is a place inside the building for renting snowshoes and cross-country skis. Also you will find toilets and a food court of various items in machines with seating areas. This place is extremely clean with friendly staff.

Easy parking and well equipped chalet. The trials are well marked. Dogs are not allowed.

Great place for a family outing.

Very good place if you want to go cross country skiing. You can also rent equipment here. Parking is available. Place to rest and warm up after walk or skiing is also very nice.

Very well maintained forest trails and visitor center. Free access and parking, all wheelchair accessible. Spotless washrooms that include showers, water fountain and snack vending machines.

Winter and summer good for activities. However prohibited for bicycle rides.

Many kilometers of groomed cross country ski, snowshoeing and walking trails. Also a small dog park and a sledding hill. A good reason to get outside in the middle of winter.

The call of nature! The center is super well maintained, the slides are great in winter! Much fun with the kids and the calm of the trees is amazing for resourcing.
