Wonderful gem of a shop. I’m traveling with the kids and desperately needed some laundry detergent; I was able to buy exactly the amount I needed for one load. Such a lovely shop with many other necessities.

This place has everything and package free. Shampoo bars work great! I can’t wait to go back to buy some for friends Christmas presents. Bring your own jars and bags and shop your heart out. Fresh produce, meat and dry goods all the way to household products all plastic free. I’ll be back.

Amazing place to grab your essentials! Love their self grinding peanut butter!! So smooth and delicious. So much better reusing my own jars than buying new jars that will end up going in the trash

A very interesting place to get refills on usual household items, local fruits/veggies, bulk foods and zero waste products! They have a great selection of items.

My favourite grocery store downtown! Such a hidden gem. Great selection of produce as well as bulk and frozen items. And really reasonably priced.

Great shop with lots of bulk foods, household and personal care products, plus fresh produce and many locally produced items, such as Green Cuisine, Very Good Butchers and The Cultured Nut. Lots of vegan items. Free delivery for seniors, and a seniors’ discount day.

Shopping here makes me feel like a better person and my grocery bill is significantly lower as well! There’s so many really great local goodies and the staff is always super friendly and ready to help. I’ve honestly fallen in love with the shop and I’m very glad that it’s in my local community.

We flew in to Victoria for the week and stayed at a condo with a kitchen. It was lovely to get the exact small amount of flour, sugar, salt, vinegar, vanilla extract, soy sauce, mustard, mayo, olive oil we needed for a few recipes. In addition, we bought a delicious peanut butter and local jam as well as snacks and some veg. I will say the frozen blackberries were not very good but all the other purchases were great in flavor and price. We were able to clean our jars and drop them back off as we left town. It is a wonderful store and wish we had one locally where we live.

A good variety of plant based foods, organic dry goods and cleaning products. Like that clean jars are available to take purchase home in; environmentally conscious.

We absolutely love this shop. Just found it today and we'll be going back very very soon. The quality of everything is very high. They not only have a nice selection of fresh fruit and veg but a big deli selection, dried fruits, meats, vegan goodies, nuts, beans etc. Shampoos, house cleaners, bags, razors and so much more and everything is zero waste. Take your bags, jars etc. or get them there. So many local products so really supporting the community. A super high consciousness shop with a lovely vibe, Jasmin was super helpful. They have a wide variety of produce, groceries, and zero waste essentials. Their pasta sauce, Jennie Marie's Crackers, Adriana’s chips, The Cultured Nut cheese, Parachute Ice Cream, and maple syrup is delicious! The staff are also really friendly.

Hi, we decided to give Zero waste a try on the weekend. Our other bulk shop for soap refills, West Coast Refills, sadly closed their Broad street location and moved to Langford. We did find success at Zero Waste. They had the exact product we wanted in bulk. The process to refill was easy and simple. The price was competitive as well. It’s a bit further for us to walk but certainly not a barrier. I’d like to encourage people to take the extra effort to save and refill your containers. You will feel better for it!

This is a fantastic store! They have a huge selection of products in bulk, package free or in minimal packaging. I think its great that they offer vegan meats and cheeses as well as real meats and cheeses that are locally made and package free. Oh and their store-made pizza dough is fantastic! I am grateful that they have found safe ways to let us continue shopping package free while ensuring proper sanitization for our safety during the pandemic. :)

This is a pleasant small grocery store with an environmentally conscious twist. They have a wide variety of bulk dry goods and a smaller, but useful, selection of fresh produce. There are also bulk frozen items, an interesting vegetarian deli counter, and cleaning supplies. The most unique feature of the store is that items are either sold unwrapped/bulk or, in a few cases, in returnable containers. The staff is friendly and helpful.

The bulk pricing is simple. You bring your own clean and dry container, weigh it on one of their scales, and write the weight on the container. Then you fill it and bring it to checkout. You can also purchase reusable containers.

Things I've bought here include fruit, greens, veggies, tempeh, dried beans, bulk dish soap, natural fiber cleaning brushes, etc. Everything has been high quality. I have had no complaints.

I started shopping here because I'm making an effort to reduce the amount of unnecessary packaging and disposable plastic I buy. I continue to shop here because they are convenient, friendly, and pleasant.

I had a great time visiting former @earthsgeneral employee Rudy when I stopped by @zerowasteemporium to refill my breakfast cereal bag.

I have travelled through 4 countries with this bag over the past 12 months and it has been refilled about 15 times. Many refill stores didn't have everything I add to my mixture but @zerowasteemporium had everything I needed.

Victoria is fortunate to have such a great #Refillery here and extremely fortunate to have such a fine person as Rudy to work for them for the past four years.

A wide range of products at competitive prices.
It makes me feel good to shop here knowing I'm doing something positive towards reducing my impact on our beautiful planet AND helping a local business.
I like the fact that I can browse and NEVER feel rushed.
If you're shopping for a mixed household (vegan/vegetarian/carnivore) ZWE caters for that with ethical choices for those that still like to eat meat/animal products.
Going vegan is often a gradual, intermittent process for some so this is a good place to get a good balance of groceries.

Great store with an awesome concept and a great variety of foods and supplies(soaps etc) available. Many options for vegans and love that they offer both grocery staples and also fun & different items. Most of all, the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and I think that is tremendously important so that people who maybe are new to idea or trying the store out for the first time aren't intimidated and can then see how easy it can be to make better choices! We just moved to the area this week and we've already been to this store 3 times! What I love personally is that even if you have a large jar, you don't need to fill it to the top and it has helped me begin to focus better on "how much do I ACTUALLY need"? Owners are also great and I've noticed feedback sheets at the storefront - they seem to be very open to hearing customer suggestions about new items to carry or improvements they could make. Please go shop here! More demand means over time they will carry even larger selection of goods!

I love this store so much! The quality is fantastic and the selection is great. It’s just overall an amazing place. I’ve always liked Zero Waste Emporium and I like them even more after the owner reached out to me in a Mutual Aid FB group and offered me some groceries when I was struggling and in need. Just as a stranger, they offered some help and delivered some great things right to my home. Great place! Highly recommend!

The store is a great addition to the community. While the quality and range of products is amazing, the staff and owners are what makes the store truly special. They bring in new products throughout the year. I am not vegan so the biggest part that I like about the store is the meat selection because it means I know exactly where my beef etc. Is coming from. Would highly recommend checking out.

What an incredible store. The owners are friendly, personable, and passionate about reducing their waste imprint. The food is fresh, the store is well organized and clean, and they have kombucha on tap! You can grind your own peanut butter as well. Highly recommend this spot.
