École primaire Beaconsfield

very good school. not giant but most of the teachers are very nice. Happy that my two kids study here.

Great teachers and students with a fun, supportive and caring environment.
It’s still Beaconsfield Elementary School in my mind. Back in the 60s we all used to get along, and we didn’t define ourselves or our friends by our language. And certainly didn’t make using either language in writing, or spoken illegal in any circumstance. I never thought about the possibility that the province would unleash a “language police” on the city with rulers for measuring the size of a sign, or the description of a photograph, nor deploy Language Thugs to physically remove my “English” keyboard from my office while I was out for lunch. Ironically back when I was a student here, the French students had an advantage in employment and education being fully comfortable in both French and English, which was preferred to the English students/workers with their inferior French. Now it’s the reverse with a majority of the off Montreal Island Francophones having poor English skills, and zero prospects for a job or an education outside of the province. It’s a stupid and small minded policy that unfortunately has broad support from the provincials who reside in small town, small minded cities with an unhealthy support for the racism, intolerance, and “Quebec au Quebecois” Jean Baptist simpletons who are still living in the 1700s, in their minds at least, when being a unilingual francophone didn’t condemn you to a developing country standard of living!

Went to primary here. I had the best teachers ever and this will always be one of the best memories i’ve made!
