It was my first time going to this children’s bookstore and I found it very cozy. The staff is phenomenal and know the books that are designated for each grade level. As a teacher, this bookstore had a wide assortment t of English books that covered various topics. Downstairs you can find a French section with a few options for second language learning. Don’t forget to tell the cashier you are a teacher to get 10% off. A large assortment of educational games as well, and cute finger puppets!

Such a gem of a bookstore! I have been a patron of Babar books since I was a toddler and now I bring my son here. They have the best selection of children's books in all of Montreal. The layout of the store as well is very inviting, and encourages young minds to escape into the realm of a story. Just such a great place!

This children’s book store is so amazing. I used to go here as a child and now enjoy taking my young children there. The quaint atmosphere and personal attention from staff is something that you can’t find at Chapters. If you live in the West Island or even just passing through it is definitely a place to shop!

This store is a gem! The staff is so friendly and helpful. They will order any kids book in print. They also host many events and do crafts and story time. My kids love this place. We have to stop in any time we're in the Pointe-Claire Village.

Easily the best English-language kids bookstore around. They have everything, and unlike most kids bookstores or kids book departments, it isn't using books as an excuse to sell toys. The few toys available are educational only.

If you're looking to purchase kids books in the Montreal area, this is *THE* place to go.

As a teacher, I am always looking for new additions to my growing classroom library. Babar never disappoints! I always find AMAZING books that I can't find anywhere else. My students, most of whom were reluctant readers, constantly ask when I'm going back to "the little book store that's far away". We spent the afternoon of July 29 celebrating Harry Potter's birthday! The bookstore staff planned a super fun time for all! The bookstore has an excellent selection of books - even for adults!
