Went on a cute road trip to up-state New York, this venue exemplifies the spirit of hospitality and warmth that I was looking for in this area. As a Texas native, I know good brisket, and the brisket platter here was just as good, if not better, than what I have at home. Such a lovely small-business, with a gleaming atmosphere that is peak Americana.

The owners were fabulous. The brisket is amazing. Juicy, tender, the bark has such a great flavor. Really enjoyed their golden sauce. Bbq beans and coleslaw both great flavor. The pulled pork was also good.

Food was great! Brisket was very tender and flavorful. The Holy Sh*t BBQ Nacho platter was delicious and gigantic - 4 of us shared as an appetizer but it could have been a full meal. 1/2 of it was taken home as was 1/2 our brisket platters as so much food and great price. Staff was awesome. Definitely will go back and recommend to parents of other college kids in the area

Perfect BBQ. We have been wanting to try your place for the last 2 years we have lived here, finally made it in on our way home from Massena. The chicken and ribs were perfect, loved the BBQ sauce. Can't wait to try the rest of your menu.

I have gotten meals from the Smokehouse on several occasions. Everything has always been great and awesome portion sizes. The take home meals were a great addition and cheaper than the home delivery service I had been doing. I love that on Fish Fry Fridays you can get different variations of broiled or fried as it's nice to change it up, although the beer batter version is my favorite. The customer service is wonderful and responds quickly whether it be in-person, via phone, or Facebook messenger. Other family members have been here and rave about the food especially the BBQ and the Holy Sh!t Nachos.

This was hands down the best BBQ in the North Country! We had the pulled pork and Brisket, both tender, juicy, and smoky! Service was really nice. Will definitely go back!

My husband orders brisket everywhere we go and he doesn't like it. I tell him "you just don't like brisket". He says "yes I do, it's just not good here". Today at the Seaway Diner and Smokehouse he again ordered the brisket. And to our delight he loved it! Very tender and juicy. He also liked the two sauces he tried. I had a combo plate of ribs and pulled pork. Both were delicious.

All I have to say is YUMMY. Every. Single. Time!! I love coming here and being greeted so nicely. The service is phenomenal!! I can’t get enough of the food. I’ve tried almost everything in the menu and I haven’t had one complaint. If you hadn’t had this brunch, I hope you go tomorrow. Also, if you don’t clean the bone off the ribs, you’re not doing it right! Thank you!!

This place has the best smoked meats around here. We tried the turkey, pulled pork and brisket. They were juicy tender morsels that we could not stop eating and will be dreaming about for days. The price was good and portions were generous. We wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Some of the best fish I have ever had.

We were up in Heuvelton for the weekend, drove by this place once in the early afternoon, and I had commented on hoe fantastic it smelled... from the car. Ended up back in the area at dinner time and had to check it out. Two of us spent less than $40 total and easily took at least an entire meal home with us. Food was fantastic, some of the best smoked BBQ I have ever tasted. Service was a little slow, but they were packed and the food was so good I would easily say it was well worth the wait.

The best food around in my opinion. The owners and staff are amazing people. If you're looking for a new place to eat and you haven't been there this is a must try! Get the spicy BBq sauce!!

Great smoked food, it's small and sometimes busy but worth every penny. U get nice portions and prices are very reasonable. Have been there many times always good.

The barbecue at the Seaway Diner is fantastic. The dining room and ambiance are fine--certainly no frills, and the menu is extremely tame. This is really not my ideal restaurant by any stretch of the imagination! However, the smoked meats are good enough to make up for it--both the brisket and the pulled pork make the Seaway Diner worth a visit.

Best food by far anywhere around.. true southern food and atmosphere. Won't find a better eating experience without actually going to the deep south..

Pulled pork sandwich was fantastic! Tender. I like how you put your own sauce on it so you control if you want more or less. Will order this again. Large serving . They didn't skimp!
