The Flat Rock Model Train Depot & Museum

This place was amazing! My 4 year old son is a train enthusiast and he fell in love. It was hard to get him to leave even when it was closing. The volunteers there are all so friendly and informative. They said that they close down periodically to change up the display for different seasons and holidays. I appreciated the buttons we were allowed to push that made things happen in the display. If you ever watched I love toy trains you’ll recognize some of the amazing classic trains and pieces.

Amazing train layouts perfect for model train enthusiasts of all ages. Lots of buttons along the outside that interact with the layout, plus lots of historic photos, memorabilia, and vintage model trains on display. Kids under 10 get in free.

Excellent setup... Kids love it... They never want to leave!

This is an absolutely wonderful place for kids and adults. We take our nephews here at least once a year. There are so many trains to look at and watch. They are very creatively displayed as they run with chairs surrounding it to just sit and watch. It's a perfect place for family entertainment.
