JC Patissier in Thorold is a hidden gem! Located right in the heart of their downtown, their croissants are not only beautiful but also incredibly delicious. From flaky almond, chocolate, and cheese croissants to decadent cakes, everything is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The lady who owns this is from Morocco, and her husband is from Chile, bringing a great blend tastes in their creations. The staff is friendly and helpful, always happy to answer questions, and offers recommendations. Whether you're looking for a special occasion treat or just a sweet afternoon pick-me-up, JC Patissier is the perfect cozy spot. Great peaceful getaway place for a Niagara Fall tourist with a 20 mins drive.

Such a cozy and inviting place with wonderful food and drinks. Amazing service! I took my daughter for some hot chocolate and banana and Nutella crapes and we were delighted with both! We took home pastries (their croissants tasted like the ones we had in Paris - flakey and buttery) and cheesecakes as well and everything was a big hit! The best part about this patisserie is definitely the service, the girl that was serving us was so friendly and helpful, you can definitely see that she cared about our experience! We will definitely be back! This is such a gem of a place!

My family and I have been visiting family in St Catherine's from Wales, UK and our cousin took us to JC Patissier one afternoon and it became one of the highlights of our trip! It's so quaint and sweet. The young girl who served us was absolutely wonderful. Food and drinks were brought to our seats and the choice of which was abundant!

We had three excellent quiches, all of which were vegetarian (huge win because we often struggle for choice as veggies in small towns). We also had the carrot cake, mixed fruit tart and lemon cheesecake. The desserts were all decadent. Clearly made by a professional! The coffee was reportedly very good also and my tea came loose leaf in a fun, vintage teapot. Top marks from a Brit!

The prices were considerably cheaper than expected considering we were having beautifully made desserts!

I also adored the mid-twentieth century jazz that was on too. Really added to the atmosphere. I dropped a star for atmosphere just because it felt a little cramped and tight in there and we had to return after 15 minutes to get a seat so if there's any room for expansion I think they should go for it! I'd also recommend labelling the muffins and quiches and other pastries not in the display cabinet because we didn't know what any of them were!

Good place for dessert and coffee in Thorold downtown. They have comfortable indoor and outdoor seats, friendly staff and good food. Free street parking as well.
Cozy place to have alone time or chat with someone.
Cheesecake was not too sweet and cookies are soft. Would love to try their other pastries and crepes.

Beautiful patisserie that's perfect for a coffee date, tasty treat, or the perfect gift. My family and I got many flavours of cheesecake, a peach gallette, coffee, and Moroccan tea. The cheesecakes were excellent, not overly sweet and oh so rich. The owners were very friendly and augmented our experience. The tea I was told is blended in the shop and it didn't disappoint, so soothing it was.

Croissants here are Paris grade, staff is extremely friendly, courteous and very welcoming to small children.
As with anything that requires this level of effort, it's not cheap, but the pricing is more than appropriate for what you get and the pastries here are truly a delicate exercise in subtlety.

A Must Go! Shout out to Juan and everyone at JC Patissier for creating an experience and pastry first! My new go to spot for a hot cup and croissant. We had a white chocolate mocha, after eight latte, and delicious baked goods for a sweet cash deal. Owner Juan is a gracious host who welcomed us as special guests. With a godfather aura and genuine delight he served us as if we were royalty. The vibe was alive with chit chatter from happy customers. Surprise to find the locale in downtown Thorold. Get out of your car and out from the tim hortons drive thru people! Step inside the European world of JC Patissier!

Wonderful to go to this patisserie - truly a family operation.
There is music on Saturdays with local artists and a meeting space for the community for tea and some cakes.
Come early! They sell out fast.

If I could give them a hundred star I woulddddd!!!! The customer service, family vibe, pastries, aesthetic of the cafe is just phenomenal. Its always going to be my go to “secret spot” to take my friends to.

JC is not only an incredible pastry chef, he is also an incredibly warm, generous, and kind man. We just moved to the area and he has made us feel so welcome. The cheesecake is top tier and the people are wonderful :) thank you for supporting us athletes JC!

There’s one bad review and I wouldn’t listen to it! Staff are always friendly food is absolutely great and flavourful and always recommend the crepes as they never disappoint!

Second experience with JC Patissier. Ordered a birthday cake last month and it was absolutely delicious. Today we tried the Coffee Cheesecake, a Crepe, Smoothie and Cappuccino. Food was delicious!! A must try. Owners are wonderful and patient and polite

This place has variety of delicious pastries, desserts and coffee, very clean, nice music, and excellent customer service. There is outside seating area and free parking in the front. The bakery also has a bathroom.

A pleasant surprise. A quaint cafe with a charming atmosphere. Staff is excellent and kind. Service is exceptional. As for the food, OMG! So fresh and tasty. One bite and the flavours explode! The prices are excellent for first grade pastries. I Can’t wait to go back.

Fresh, delicious, great atmosphere. I ordered the Spinach Quiche, coffee and apple and blue berry pastry.

Atmosphere is very cozy. I had a peach danish and a coffee. Danish was the best danish I have ever had!!! Highly recommend !!!!!! Coffee was fantastic as well.
