JJ Bean on this location is really in vintage style, coffee is well roasted with rich taste and almond croissants are delicious 👌🏼
Perfect spot with patio for spring.
Overall I really enjoyed this place and recommend to everyone who are looking good coffee and are in that area.

This place in heart of East Van is a great atmosphere. They have no wifi which makes it different from others and you see more customers in interactions than on a laptop.

The coffee roaster is also cool to see in person.

JJ Bean on Commercial Dr. Our first time at any JJ Bean coffee house. Nice experience, good coffee, nice staff, good washrooms, comfortable seating and watched some coffee roasting. Definitely would seek out this franchise again and is always nice to know where to find something we like. Also a great location for our introduction to commercial drive.

Literally the best Latte I've had around Vancouver. Extra bonus points for the pretty design.

The classic flavour of Krausan and coffee, made my morning perfect. It's not a fancy place , it's a taste of the classics in everything. Thank you for reminding me of the taste of a European city.

JJ Bean is awesome and totally underrated, this is my new go to coffee house around Commercial. All their locations are aesthetically well decorated, have yummy baked goods and talented baristas whipping up tasty drinks! A great selection of Espresso ranges for any kind of tastebuds.
This specific Roasters also has a phenomenal plethora of outdoor comfortable seating.
I just wish they'd setup a loyalty scheme reward program would be awesome.

Each JJ Bean coffee shop has its own unique style.  When I first discovered Commercial Drive, this was the first coffee shop I went to and it landed up being the one I frequented the most.  Mainly because it has a ton of character and is very art friendly.  The character starts outside on the street because JJ Bean is right beside Dollar Grocers, which has a ton of character as well.

The entire Commercial Drive is famous for its artistic community and a lot of artists live and work here.  I see artists working in this coffee shop all the time.  Actually painting pictures at their table.  I don't fit in anywhere in this city, but I can sorta disappear in this coffee shop.

I’ve taken a lot of pictures here but it was too hard to dig them up so I just shot some new ones in March to give you a flavour of the space.  It was rainy and overcast so it was a very average day for Vancouver.

This place has a ton of outdoor seating, but the rain chased most people inside.  In the summer time this place is busier on the outside than the inside.

Details matter at this JJ Bean because it’s so artsy.  There are so many cool details in this coffee shop and they’re all photo worthy.  I could spend all day just photographing the details.

However, the clientele who frequent this coffee shop are even more interesting than the details.  Because it attracts the most eclectic group of people imaginable.  But they tend to be a little camera shy.

JJ Bean gets the basics right. Good food, service, staff, seating. Even good bathrooms. Killer bulletin board. It's near the skytrain. Lots of other coffee shops on the Drive, if you can't find a seat here.

If you’re near Commercial Drive, and you like coffee, art, and a creative vibe, I highly recommend a visit to this coffee shop.

I am a coffee freak and usually chain/franchise stores aren't my first preference but JJ Bean is an exception. Their coffees are amazingly fresh, flavorful and delicious. Ordered a latte and I was blown. Perfect amount of milk, froth and espresso. The roast was very good.

I love JJ bean, the commercial location has a nice vibe, and the people are friendly. the outdoor patio in the back is a nice place to enjoy a coffee in warm or cold weather. My favourite is the everything croissant.

My favorite coffee place in Vancouver with several locations. Great selection of single origin coffees as well as some excellent blends including my favorite, Eastside Blend. Buy one 340 gr. Bag of beans and get a free coffee. Very nice baked goods, friendly staff and great vibe.

There’s a folksy, small-town feel to this JJ Beans but it can get busy at peak times. The mix-and-match chairs and tables are comfortable. Lots of windows in this older corner storefront building keep the interior bright. Ample seating on the outdoor patio where your dog can wait under the table while you enjoy a good cup of coffee ☕

The best coffee shop that I have been to in Vancouver!! The apple cinnamon cruffin is amazing and the barista made us two perfect traditional cappuccinos.

Really friendly and great crew! And location is pretty fantastic. Most importantly they pull some awesome brew!

I have to pass about 10 coffee shops on The Drive to get here... Still worth it, after (maybe?) 15 years?
It still feels like coming home.

I have been going to this coffee shop for many years. It started off being a sliver of a coffee shop with a corner store on the left side, and over the years has expanded as well as built up multiple locations around Vancouver. It's a gathering favourite for people to chill and hang out and enjoy a good cup of coffee. Staff are always happy and smiling while making damn good coffee. A friendly atmosphere to enjoy good drinks and eats with good people. Plus someone will almost always have music playing and a dog waiting for some pats.
