I received expert and attentive service from Celine and Rita when I went to insure a car that I bought in Ontario and brought back to BC. This is not a normal case that insurance agents see every day. Prior to working with TXL, I contacted my "regular" insurance agent and they had no idea what to do in my situation but Celine and Rita knew exactly what needed to happen. Throughout the process, the communication with TXL was excellent. They were patient in explaining everything to me in a clear manner. Because of the advice that I received from TXL, everything was smooth and well organized. I will be dealing with TXL from now on for my auto insurance and highly recommend them.

Professional and knowledgeable

As a customer, I expect professionalism and clear communication from my insurance provider. Unfortunately, my experience with TXL has been disappointing and frustrating, significantly undermining my trust in their services.

Last year, upon signing up for a tenant insurance policy, I encountered an unprofessional approach right from the beginning. After submitting my application and receiving the policy document, I forwarded it to my landlord, assuming all was in order. However, the message I received from the company regarding the payment procedure was not only surprising but also conveyed in an unprofessional tone. It was pointed out in a very unprofessional manner that i should not have forwarded the policy to my landlord because I had still not made the payment (this was just a few hours after i recieved the policy from them and right before making the payment), threatening to cancel my policy because of that.

This communication style was not appreciated and set a concerning precedent for future interactions.

Fast forward to this year, my policy came up for renewal while I was out of the country. With only one missed call as a notice, which I couldn't respond to due to out-of-country call charges, the company directly contacted my landlord, disclosing my missed payment and essentially compromising my relationship with my landlord. This action was beyond unprofessional; it was invasive and disrespectful of customer privacy and the proper channels of communication.

The choice to involve my landlord in a matter that should have been resolved directly between the company and me as the client is unacceptable, and the tone used is very unprofessional.

Please stay away, plenty of professional insurance companies to choose from.
