Redwood Volunteer Fire Department

On Christmas Eve the highways were shut down leaving drivers and a truck driver myself from Canada stranded nowhere to go in midst of a snowstorm. I was advised to head to the nearest fire station, and I am so thankful to have come across Redwood Volunteer Fire Department. The locals volunteering welcomed all us stranded drivers with such open arms and made sure we were fed and had a bed to sleep for the night. I’d also like to thank another driver who was also stranded with her family, they had cooked up a storm of food—lasagna, macaroni and cheese etc. The best lasagna I’ve ever had!, thankyou if you ever read this post. I’d also like to thank all the locals volunteers for your warm hospitality your kindness and generosity will never be forgotten. Thankyou my American neighbours!

I was up that way two years ago on a camping trip, we went to your firemen's field days and had a great time. When are the field days this year so I can plan my camping trip. Thank you.
