I had one of the best banking experiences today. Matthew, the branch manager, went above and beyond to provide me with excellent customer service! He took the time - past closing - to address all of my needs and concerns and more. I highly recommend this bank!

This isn't directly related to this branch, but more Scotiabank. I feel like they make controlling your money extremely difficult to do without them. Often times I'm told I need to call someone or visit the branch, meet with one of their representatives that is acting against my best interests to do simple things like cancel a bi-weekly autodeposit into my RRSP. The bank will constantly email you trying to get you to take out additional credit at a high interest rate.

Here is my timestamps of my latest interaction with them as I write this review. The operator is trying her best to helpful and pleasant, but wah.

31:25 Trying to find out if the operator can cancel my automated payement and if not can they direct me to who can.

33:47 I'm trying to tell her not to wipe all of my automatic payements, just the RRSP automated payements for the fourth or fifth time. Not sure she understands.

33:47 - 39:58 [Still Hold]

40:20 Switched to another operator.

45:48 Operator cancels the automatic transactions and fills me in on my next steps.

Operators are kind and deserve respect and kindness always. But Move your money to any other bank where they give you full control over your acounts, interactions. That's what I'm doing.

The Scotia bank employee said in the Cornwall branch said I could not open an account. Dates back to a problem in 2017 . Don’t recommend them
