Aux Chantignoles

Yes. Excellent meal. Located in chateau Montebello this restaurant will not disappoint. We had a bottle of wine from Quebec. Burrata with fresh local tomatoes. Walleye and Lamb.

A little treat on our way from Ottawa to Montreal: a night at the marvellous Fairmont Le Château Montebello: "The World's Largest Log Cabin".

It is a very impressive building (see my Instagram account, @iPhonePhotoTravel, for photos) and we love staying here.

We ate dinner in their Aux Chantignoles restaurant. The service was really excellent - so friendly and helpful. I found it quite difficult to choose my meal as the menu had some excellent dishes. Eventually I decided on:

- Foie Gras Mousse - Pear mustard and saffron clementines

- Braised Lamb Shank - with lamb demi-glace, eggplants and confit quinces

- Apple Tart - Caramelized apples, crispy puff pastry, roasted hazelnut ice cream

The lamb was particularly good, but I thoroughly enjoyed all my courses and the excellent wines chosen by my partner.

An excellent dinner in superb surroundings with wonderful service. Thank you team Montebello.

We loved the Sunday brunch! Judging by the price, you may expect a Las Vegas style mega-buffet. It's definitely not that. Selection is limited, but everything, and I mean everything we tried was excellent. My wife is a famous bread snob and she loved their bread and croissants. I am a coffee snob and the drip coffee was excellent. I walked in feeling like I had overpayed and was expecting to be disappointed but I really enjoyed it. The room and the rest of the hotel are beautiful. Service was great. We never stood in a line. Parking was free but nearly full. We will definitely be back

Everything was spectacular, the food was very good and the service perfect , the breakfast is outstanding the lunch is smaller but delicious.

We were in the Mont Tremblant area and wanted to go to the hotel to look around and enjoy a nice meal. The restaurant is in the Fairmont and is beautiful inside but also has stunning views to the lake.

We started with the onion potato bread which was great; then had the onion soup which was also good and the steak and fries which were perfect.

Overall good quality food, good portions and great flavor in a wonderful ambiance

Very nicely decorated restaurant. Service is very good and the food was simply delicious. Recommend the octopus and the lamb. Was 10/10. Plates are just right size as erll.

Good service and excellent food. Although for the main U only have about 6 choices. For 2 of us for dinner it was over $200. Food was delicious and had excellent presentation

Amazing restaurant at the Fairmont Hotel Montebello, Qc! Had a lovely evening there couple of days ago. The restaurant is big enough to host a big event with a lot of people, but always has this cozy vibe making it so special and warm. Staff are super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The manager had visited our table as well. And the food was EXTRA DELICIOUS! It was a long way from Montreal, but the whole experience was definitely worth it. I can’t wait to come back again.

Sublime. The menu is fantastic. I do wish there were some smaller options for meat and old school homemade quebecois style fries but was just fantastic. Made to feel at home everything was subtle, always knew our names. It was exceptionally high end but very welcomibg and forgiving of children.

Was fantastic from start to finish, the seared scallop was to die for, pepper steak melted in my mouth, octopus was meh i wouldnt order it again, our waiter was great and absoluted gentlemen, thanks again luke. Will def be back

Feb 2024 update:

The dinner buffet (offered during the Ski Marathon weekend) is 70$ per person. The staff were very accommodating to my dietary needs. When I told them I am vegan, the chef showed me around the buffet, pointing out all the vegan options. Their salad bar is quite extensive and impressive - I especially enjoyed the sweet potato & sun-dried tomato salad and the brussels sprouts & pineapple salad. Although there were very few vegan options in terms of hot foods, the chef offered to make me a special main dish (barley risotto w/ acorn squash) which was very filling and delicious. Additionally, although there was no vegan dessert available at the buffet, they made me a vegan creme brulee, which I was also impressed by.

The Chateau Montebello's ambiance and service are unbeatable. It's definitely pricey but worth it if you want to treat yourself!

First timer, quick and easy table reservation on their website. Sunday morning breakfast buffet, lots of choices of food, all hot and very good(I expected less from a buffet), seems like they had everything you can ask for.
Nice architecture, clean and neatly organized tables. Service was great, gave more than recommended tip regardless of beeing a buffet. Parking is not free , but you get a free ticket with the meal.
Overall great experience, would definitly recommend and will be returning.

Food was great but most of all on time! Little wait time and incredible quality. I got the beef tartare and it was special! Well worth the price 🙂

Attended a wedding here this weekend. The foyer, the reception hall (canada room) and the whole complex is just beautiful. Got some really good photo opps here. The meal was excelent. Chicken and ribs were the main choices but the side dishes were just as top notch as well. To top it off the staff were very politea, attentive and helpful.

The Chateau Montebello Sunday brunch is a great food experience. Extra tasty Meats cooked just right, breakfast foods, croissants and breads, lots of tasty desserts. The Chocolate mousse is fantastic, a must-try and highly recommended. It's always a treat to go to the Montebello Sunday brunch

Attentive service in both the restaurant and the outdoor summer BBQ. Both meals were excellent and the BBQ features a exceptional variety of grilled and smoked meats, plus fish and seafood. A classic summer feast that is not to be missed.

Great buffet breakfast and dinner too

Absolutely fantastic dining experience, great food and the staff were phenomenal! The waiter went above and beyond and treated my five year old son like a million bucks.
