Amazing...Fun, Fresh, Fantastic food and service. Our table of seven were all delighted with our choices from the egg roll sandwich, the egg croissant sandwich to the sweet potato soup, and beet salad. Just a superior experience. Unique drink drink/beer choices too. We would all return!

I loved the unique food ideas. I especially like the egg salad sandwich with dill pickle chips in the sandwich. I also liked the vintage style design for the restaurant. Very friendly chefs and waitresses. When I go to gather I feel very welcomed. I don’t usually give 5 stars but this restaurant deserves it!

I walked in off the street asking to see a menu for takeout and they offered to pack my order in a picnic basket so I could picnic in the park with my family. What a lovely and brilliant way to give me an elevated picnic experience that felt way more special than just eating takeout in a park. They also remembered my name and treated me like a VIP. Bonus: The sandwiches we ordered were delicious!

Truly enjoyed every moment. Had the day's featured large beef/pork meatball, cheddar cheese open face sandwich on a baquette with marinara sauce fresh grated parmesan and topped with arugula, we opted for that day's soup creation by the chef, a wonderful vegan Korean carrot soup with fresh ginger and other exotic flavor profiles.
Nice selection or beer and wine.
The restaurant features local artist every few months.
It a new favorite spot now!

Went to Perth yesterday and our visit would not be complete unless we have our lunch at Gather. We were not disappointed. The meal was absolutely delicious. It was served promptly, not that we were in a rush, everyone was super friendly. We actually met one of the owners with her beautiful baby girl, she was such a delight to talk with. So nice, and friendly. And all this reflects in her beautiful restaurant. Bravo 🎉

Personally, I’m all about the detail and this restaurant had me sold from the vintage porch light in the entrance.

We were greeted right away and seated in the nook area which was nice because it was a bit secluded from the other tables. The style and Aesthetic gives early 1900, from the tables/chairs, the wall and ceilings + chandeliers. I also enjoyed that the napkins are cloth but not matched.. it might seem odd to some but it gives this spot character.

When we ordered our drinks, two different types of their iced tea, the server mentioned that the i e cubes were also of the same tea which does not dilute the taste.. I thought that was fantastic and such a simple touch to elevate the experience.

As for the meal, I ordered the buffalo tofu sandwich and I highly recommend trying it out! The Doritos added a crunchy texture and the fresh croissant was mouth watering.

We could not leave before trying out their desserts which was the cherry on top! Their vegan carrot cake was tasty and their Panna Cotta topped with blueberry was to die for.

I didn’t want to leave Perth as I wanted to come here for another meal. I can see why they have 5 stars and I highly recommend making this a stop!

Had the pleasure of stopping by for some lunch. The owners were there and had the friendliest and most genuine warmth that really added to the overall aesthetic. The food was fabulous! I had the curried chicken salad sandwich and my partner had the special (a play on a club sandwich) and we were floored by how fresh and delicious and high quality the lunch was. Amazing spot.

I don't believe there's enough time at the moment to fully express why we adore Gather so much. Just do yourself a favor and visit for amazing food, service, and an incredible atmosphere. While you're there, be sure to join their email list for updates on upcoming dinner events. You won't regret it.

Stopped for lunch on a road trip and now I want to live here so I can try their whole menu! Absolutely delicious, reasonably priced, lovely people and atmosphere… I could go on! Sooooo yummy.

We love Gather in Perth so much. Their food is creative and delicious, and the people are wonderful.

Lunch is their main offering and the menu is truly unique. (Do check out the menu.) You can get a sandwich between $10 and $18, which includes a side soup or salad. The soups change regularly and are very yummy. Gluten-free bread and vegan options are available.

The co-owners have decades of experience in the hospitality industry. James and Kerri have both worked in and run high-end restaurants -- and it really shows. They go the extra mile (whipped maple butter on sandwiches) and they take excellent care of their customers (offering towels to dry off after coming in from a downpour).

More important tidbits... A local farm provides seasonal veggies. They have great beers from local microbreweries. Ask for the gluten-free, dairy-free carrot cake (it is incredible). If you get the opportunity, ask Kerri to describe food and drink pairing (she is a sommelier) or ask James how he prepared the dish you ate. They are really passionate about what they do and it is a joy to listen to them.

For a special occasion, book ahead for one of their monthly dinners. The dinner menu changes every month.

Gather is my favourite lunch cafe in Perth. The food is so delicious; favourable and good quantity!! The service is always genuine, efficient and very accommodating! The atmosphere is quaint. Making reservations is wise because of the limited number of tables.

Excellent service, and a great spot for lunch! Right when I walked in, I was welcomed with a warm hello. I ordered for take-out a curried chicken sandwich with a side salad, and it was the perfect, tasty on the go lunch! Would look forward to trying some other things off of their menu, and will absolutely be back!

Stopped by for the first time with family for a late lunch. Everyone was impressed by the quality and variety of food options available. Really appreciate the various vegan options!

This restaurant is amazing ~ The most upscale delicious food & fantastic service ~ Alida is an amazing waitress and always makes us feel welcome. The real brewed iced tea is superb (the ice cubes are frozen tea so the tea is not watered down when they melt). I highly recommend this gem in Perth.

Amazing food that feels like it is made with love. We were impress by the vegetarian options. Portions were perfect and the staff is so friendly and professional. If I were living in Perth, I would become a regular. The place is also super cozy, fat friendly (chairs that are solid and can accomodate bigger persons) and queer friendly.

Our first time visiting and we'll be back. Service was wonderful (thank you Alida!). The food was SO good! I'm a Celiac, and they were very knowledgeable as to my dietary restrictions. Most of the ingredients are locally sourced.
Good wine list (the owners are both sommeliers).
I highly recommend Gather! My only disappointment is that they are open for lunch only - but they have a monthly dinner, which we're looking forward to.

What a gem in beautiful downtown Perth! James and his wife are the most excellent hosts and he actually met us at the door and spent some time talking about their move to Perth. Food is amazingly fresh and made in house. We had the bahn mi sandwich and soup of the day. Also some great beers from Perth Brewing. Our server April was fantastic. Can't wait to come back and highly recommend! Thanks so much guys!

This is a must-try restaurant. The chef makes some quite original dishes. Everything is fresh, the sandwiches are made in-house and the service is excellent, even though it may be a tad shower than others. But your patience is rewarded with food that's prepared fresh and is simply delicious. If you're anywhere near Perth, you should definitely visit this wonderful restaurant.
