Penny's Place

This was our first time here and definitely will not be our last! The place is a jewel in the ruff. You walk inside and you are greeted with fantastic and friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere and the most delicious and very generous portions of food. I am sure whatever you order you will be coming back for more.

Stopped here on a long road trip and it was a gem! Food was great portions and great quality. Staff were very friendly. It's a must try for sure!

This is an absolutely wonderful little spot to eat. Stopped in for breakfast this morning and had the Penny's Benny. It was delicious. Everything is prepared fresh. The staff is very welcoming and the atmosphere quite pleasant. I highly recommend Penny's Place to anyone in the area looking for great food.

We loved breakfast, multiple options for vegans, huge portions, French toast, smoked chicken burger and the meat lover all dishes were awesome. Hash browns were local style and were delicious. Thank you Karen for your suggestions and best customer service. See you soon.

Great little spot! We were there for breakfast but I am sure whatever you order will be wonderful. All homemade and very friendly service. A spotless restaurant which is always the most important thing for me!!

Best breakfast in town! Lovely staff and cozy atmosphere. I usually have the penny pancakes but I tried their Valentine’s Day waffle special. It was SO GOOD. This will forever be my favourite local spot 🥰❤

We stopped here, thinking it was going to be a shabby hole in the wall type place. When we walked in we were pleasantly surprised to see a cute little restaurant, clean and tidy. I got the eggs Benedict (florentine) and it was the BEST Benny I have ever had! My husband got the classic breakfast with sausage and licked the plate clean. The potatoes and hash-browns were delicious too. Don’t miss an opportunity to check this place out!!!

Penny was in the back serving up some fantastic food! Started out life as a service station serving food back in the 60's, truck stop after that, and into its current form as a restaurant.

The breakfast club was really good, along with the classic breakfast and eggs benedict florentine. Small seating area, but a quick turn-around had us waiting only a few minutes.

Once again this business demonstrates how to succeed at doing everything right. Service, food and price are all on-point. So many great reasons to visit!

I will be back for sure, you should consider a visit too!

We were one of the 1st customers to arrive as it was a little after 7am. We were greeted by Cindy who who had a big smile in her face. We both order the eggs Benny and truly enjoyed every bite. We were checked on throughout our meal. This please is clean and well looked after. We’re coming back tomorrow before we leave to go back home.

We're away on a family vacation and my wife suggested we stop at Penny's place for breakfast. Wow! We shared our meals with our two year old and barely finished! I had the Nashville Eggs Benidict. It's genius and was exactly what I wanted. My wife had two eggs, hashbrowns and toast. This fed the three of us with me struggling to finish. Everything was amazing and we can't wait to visit again!

Perfect delight and a hidden gem of a breakfast restaurant. True enough, everything is quick, savoury, and made with love for you to love what you eat.

One of the best breakfast I've had in a long time. I wish this place was in Ottawa so that I could go more often. The food was great I had the Nashville fried chicken egg Benedict and it was phenomenal. The home fries were also great and portion size was very generous (left a few potatoes on the plate, which were eaten by friends before heading back to the kitchen). Unlimited coffee was also tasty and service was friendly even when it was busy!

Our server was incredibly nice. We got buttermilk pancakes, the daily soup special- roasted sweet potato soup, poutine, and chicken caesar salad that had some of the best grilled chicken I’ve had at a restaurant! The soup was perfectly sweet and the pancakes were fluffy and filling.

Absolutely loved this place! People were friendly, food was amazing and loved the restaurant and atmosphere! Will definitely recommend and be back again!!!

Amazing wait staff, quaint décore, and thoughtfully crafted food ensembles. Just as we were leaving we noticed a burly man, who had taken a very intentional trip to the main counter to speak to the staff, very seriously, and sincerely, he complimented that he was currently enjoying the best burger he had ever had in his life. We were just enjoying a post-camping all-day breakfast... so now we absolutely have to go back to try this burger!

I love this place! If you are in the area and you want to have breakfast or lunch look no further. This place is the best in town!

I can't say enough great things about Penny's Place! The service is always top notch: fast and friendly- considering how busy the place can get. The food is always freshly prepared and tastes excellent! We will definitely be back again soon.
