Oso Negro Café

Great energy in Oso Negro’s cafe. Steadily busy and lively. Great coffee and consistently high quality beans. Food is good too! Had the kale/edamame salad, and a sweet pickle baguette; both were delicious. Second visit I had the sweet potato patty - also great! Highly recommend stopping here for your morning coffee and snack.

Vibes are on point. Great in-house nitro cold brew, served with coffee ice cubes. I added a little milk and it was perfect. I should note they don’t do syrups here so be mindful of that when ordering. I also ordered the salmon bagel it came with cream cheese already spread on it; on the side it had red onions, capers, and a ton of salmon it was roughly 9 bucks. Great price point and very delicious. Great space for friends and family to hang out but does get a little busy during the morning and around the 2 o’clock mark. Worth the wait though!

What a nice little coffee shop! Stopped by in the morning for breakfast and it was bustling, clearly a local favourite. There is a full menu for breakfast and lunch in addition to baked goods.

Now I am back for tea and reading and it seems a few others are doing the same.

This was the sweetest little stop in Nelson. The outdoor garden was dream worthy and the coffee was incredible. Highly recommend visiting. I’ll be returning when I visit Nelson again.

Amazing local coffee place with friendly staff and an impressive selection of locally roasted, mostly organic beans. Fancy custom wrought iron and wood interior and large outside patio achieves the perfect balance between seating needs and the cozy coffee-nook atmosphere essential to the rainy-day Nelson cafe experience.

Always busy, but somehow we always got a seat. The coffee was amazing (I tried the Americano and oat cappuccino) as well as the soup, Bagels and yummy baked goods. Clearly we went back a few times 😋

You’ve probably heard about this hot little spot in Nelson! I heard about this place through some YouTube video called “weekend in Nelson BC” that had like 14k views (that’s not that many views if you don’t watch YouTube). Ok the cups are NOT TAKE AWAY! You don’t get to keep the cups!!!!!! 😭 yes, I’m crying too! Anyways ~ double shot cap was kinda a nuts order so I had to get extra oat milk, off to the beach! It’s cloudy but we’re down cause then we won’t get sun stroke

Super busy spot but I guess that says a lot about it! We took our coffee and snacks to go as it was a zoo inside but they were delightful. Definitely an iconic spot in Nelson and worth the visit.

I absolutely love this place. Nice and friendly staffs, lovely & comfortable atmosphere with good coffee. I got large sized salad, big panini with side and 12oz coffee for $20 ish, and everything tastes sooo good. Love everything here!

Food is great and it is one of the hang-outs in Nelson. Personally, I find Oso's coffee too intensely roasted, but that does not diminish it's popularity. A must if you visit Nelson!

Loved this cafe! Amazing locally made coffee and their breakfast buns were to die for! The atmosphere was very comforting and soothing! I would go there everyday if I could!! 200/10!

Delicious coffee! So many seating areas to relax and enjoy your coffee and snacks. They have vegan and vegetarian options for food and pastries! I love their outdoor sitting area - lots of plants and birds. Bring your own mug or cup-if you have take out they'll charge you 25 cents.

This is not just a coffee shop, this is a place you must experience. The garden is so serene. There is such a peaceful feeling the moment one walks up the unique steps. The coffee is great, the food is delicious. This place holds a piece of my heart.

One of my favourite coffee shops, not only for the coffee but also for the vibes! The outdoor patio and sitting area is the things that dreams are made of. Every time I come to Nelson I stop in here. They definitely use a darker roast of coffee for their cold brew, but was a good treat! Would highly recommend stopping in here!

This place absolutely deserves and justifies it's high rating - I had a sensational flat white along with a freshly baked lemon and blackberry muffin that disappeared in record time. The setting was great and even though they were busy, they had the staff to keep the line moving. Get amongst it ☕

Amazing coffee and local hot spot for coffee , I ordered the breakfast sandwich on a bagel and found that it was decent.

The best Americano’s and satisfying, tasty treats! This place is divine in summer, with the beautiful gardens and dappled light. The vibes are so chill and everyone that comes here seems to just want to relax and hang out.

Unbeatable coffee!!☕😋 Very busy place lots of seating indoors and beautiful outdoor seating area. We had Almond Milk Cold Brew and Iced Oat Milk Latte both were excellent. The Gluten Free Banana Bread was unfortunately very dry and could have been served with some butter.
