We were in the area, so my husband happened to find the restaurant while Googling places to eat lunch. We were not disappointed!

The seafood smashed burger and Nashville hot chicken sandwich were delicious, and the side Caesar salads we got were done perfectly, which was a pleasant surprise (most side salads are more of an afterthought). Our kids got grilled cheese sandwiches with fries (they also had the choice to get burgers or pasta), and those were done well.

Everyone there was very friendly and helpful, and our server was attentive, checking on us frequently. We sat inside, but there was also a patio, which was popular because it was a nice day. Plenty of parking was available, which was great.

Would definitely recommend and would visit again if in the area!

Great spot! We got Caesar salad, tartare and Nash ville hot chicken sandwich with duck fat fries. Everything tasted amazing and very reasonably priced. I suggest making a reservation. Will definitely visit again when we are in Port Perry.

This place is underrated and needs exposure! There should be a line up outside the door leading to the street. The food is AMAZING! My first time here and I will DEFINITELY be coming back SOON! My son ordered the burger and I ordered what’s in the pic (tuna). We were fighting over each other’s food😂….The waiter was very friendly and professional too! Overall 5 stars!!

The foundry is HANDS DOWN mine and my boyfriend’s favourite place in Port Perry, we’ve been coming here since it opened and have absolutely always loved the menu, with its cozy indoor seating or the cute patio in the summer it can be very different at times and push your taste buds to new heights! Tonight we had the salt and pepper shrimp (phenomenal) the pasta with sausage (perfectly creamy and delicious) and the smoked pork chop (which I was totally bugging the chef to spill the secret on how it’s SO perfect). Even though some favourites leave the menu there is ALWAYS something new and delicious around the corner! The service also speaks for itself wonderful people serving even more wonderful food, also NEVER skip the drinks! They are hand crafted to perfection and served beautifully, if you need somewhere to try something new this is the place!!!!

Went for lunch with my fiancé on Friday, and hoooooly smokes was it ever delicious. We've been here quite a few times (huge fans of their brunch and themed events!). But, I believe this was our first time for lunch, and it won't be our last. I got the lobster tacos - they were flavourful and packed with lobster. The tortillas were so good, why can't all taco shells taste that good 😫 My fiance got the Nashville Chicken Sandwich, which he loved and said it was the perfect amount of spice. I also had a mocktail, and it was probably the best mocktail I have EVER had. We are huge fans of the entire team over there, and we can't wait to come back.

Stumbled on this place on the way home from the lake, didn’t regret it, burgers are amazing, my father had the steak devoured in 10 min. Good variety of local drinks. Well worth the drive! I’d go back again without looking elsewhere. My 8 ear old swallowed the shrimp platter quickly.

Best food in Durham. The chef is amazing, and so is their bartender. Fabulous cocktails and literally the best food you'll ever eat. 12/10 every time. So many little things show how much they care about customer experience including growing fresh herbs on the balcony

My wife and I have been coming here for a number of years and when family or friends visit from abroad, Foundry is where we take them. It will be difficult to briefly summarize our fondness and love for this place, but I will try. I would describe Foundry as a restaurant for people who love restaurants. The menu has a great selection but not overwhelming, balanced in a way to satisfy a wide array of palates. Foods that I can only describe as fine foods including a myriad of seafood, varying pastas, and very nice cuts of meat with amazing sides have found themselves onto the menu, and even the more casual fare like a burger or chicken sandwich still maintains a level of flair that isn't pompous or unneccesary and contributes to the uniqueness and taste of meal. Fresh ingredients and meat are locally sourced and they pride themselves on that. Everything about the food seems deliberate, from the cooking to the plating, you can sense the care and pride that went into it. What I really love about this place, and what I believe has contributed to its success, is their features. The menu is fantastic, but it is clear as day that they love to cook, and that is made manifest through unique dishes offered on different days. These dishes are often more experimental and can extend to many things like regional style burgers, specialty tacos with varying styles, international dishes, things that you would hear the name and you just want to try it. The limited time features also often extend to appetizers. The only downsides to this is you may love a specialty dish, and then its gone! I think one or two dishes have returned when we've been there much to our enjoyment, but the specialty features are new and exciting, and I genuinely mean that. My wife and I get excited about great food, that's why I described it as a restaurant for people who love restaurants. It always manages to remain fresh and new while maintaining a consistent and great menu in case the special feature isn't something up your alley, which does happen. The other downside is that obviously we can't go out to eat every night, and if day after day they have an amazing feature that is only available on that day, you're going to miss some great dishes. If we were millionaires we would eat here daily and not miss a thing. The bar is well stocked and features local beers, in line with their sourcing locally. Our son was born in January, and going out to eat with him has never been an issue here. I think we've actually been taking our Henry here since he was about two months old, but mind you he's a good lad and doesn't cause a fuss. In the warmer months the patio is lovely, and along the railing you see the herbs growing that they harvest and use. Across the street sometimes you can sometimes eat your meal while watching the children play at the baseball diamond which is really cute and adds something special. It is a family business, and the staff are personable and very friendly. Couldn't reccomend this place more. A hidden gem where they clearly love to cook. If I can give you one piece of advice, upgrade your fries to duck fat fries. Something about eating fries fried in duck fat makes me feel like a king.

Cant say enough good things! The food was amazing, the drinks were delicious, our server was so lovely! We had a group of 11 people for a celebratory dinner and India (our server) was so accommodating and made it so special! Thanks Foundry!

We found this place from Google map as we were on a day trip to the area and we weren’t familiar with any of the restaurants. We went in right before the wkend dinner rush and we were greeted warmly right away. The patio is nice just tucked away to the side of the building so not noisy from the street. The service was great! The young lady who helped us was super polite and friendly and gave us her recommendations. The food was delicious, and the portion was pretty big. We tried the Nashville hot chicken and the stracciatella. Wish we had room to try their desserts but we were too full. I guess now we have a reason to go back!

The food was amazing!! We loved everything we ordered. The steak poutine was out of the world. The pasta was so flavourful. We loved the drinks as well!! This restaurant is a gem. You should give it a try. We will surely visit again!!

Had our staff appreciation dinner here and it was excellent! Service was top notch, food was delicious and an overall great time! Everything you'd expect on a nice dinner out in downtown Toronto but right here in our town!

The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was delicious! Crispy and juicy, great flavour, spicy but not blow your face off. The pickle and sauce add a nice cooling element. 5/5.

The pasta was good. I would eat it again. I do wish there was a bit more sauce and the bread was pedestrian at best. 4/5

Wife and I just had lunch here this afternoon. It was our first visit and can't say enough good things. Food was unbelievably good! The power went out while there and the staff carried on with smiles and kind service! It was refreshing to see people make the best of a bad situation. Power outage was beyond their control and the service by the staff didn't miss a beat! Will definitely be coming back again soon!

Delicious food. Service was good and everything I ordered tasted delicious. Highly recommend the churros as they are made to order. The churros was crispy on the outside, hot, soft, and gooey on the inside. One of the best churros I’ve had. Highly recommend!

The staff was standout the best part. Ok, it might have been the food, but the staff deserve to be recognized first. Lovely to chat with, made great reccomendations, happily helped me navigate the menu with my food sensitivities, they were 11/10. The food? Bomb. We ordered the shishitos, carrot dip, burger and steak frites (with duck fat fries of course) and we loved every second of it. Thank-you for a great evening. We'll see you again soon!

Amazing food, amazing service and great atmosphere! Cameron was an excellent server and was very helpful! We chose this place on a whim and got very lucky we found this gem! Each dish we got was excellent and you can tell a lot of love goes into each dish. The flavor profiles go so well together. We live in Hamilton but we will definitely be making the trip to come back and try some more things on the menu!

We had pork belly Bao, and Nashville chicken sandwich. Each are winners and are easily every day eats!

Came to The Foundry today for the first time, absolutely impressed with all aspects - premises, menu, service. Unique food items were our focus and we were delighted with our choices.
