The Essential cafe

Stopped in and was pleasantly surprised to find an affordable, tasty, and healthy joint! I got the bean salad and iced americano all for 11$! Amazing. I went back again later on and grabbed the Turkey, Brie and spinach on a croissant and it was by far the best Turkey Brie sandwich I’ve had in ages! Am now a happy regular of The Essential!

The homemade bakery goodies are to die for. I go before work. When I work from home I make the drive from north end and back home. So worth it. The Oat Latte is better than Starbucks. The breakfast bagel is one of my favourites as well.

This cafe is a cozy, bright and beautiful! The owners are lovely people who ll always greet you with amazing smiles that ll make your day! Food is 5/5, drinks are 5/5! Shout out to their mushroom soup that I had today, it was soooo amazing!! They also have loyalty cards ! I d recommend to try this LOVELY place, you ll never regret that. Thank you for making my day !! ❤

We are visiting from out of town and loved meeting Dan and Alexandra, the owners. They were so kind and gave us advice on where to go hiking because we love to hike! We enjoyed the coffee, croissant sandwich, bagel sandwich and dessert! It was a very warm and welcoming place.

Love this Cafe! Reasonable prices and the coffee is so good. Each drink is hand crafted unlike the automatic espresso machines and milk steamers that franchises use. The croissant sandwiches are also delicious on their freshly baked croissants!

Fantastic small cafe, just across the street at Brock. They have a variety of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and snacks. The most unique drink is they have mushroom coffee! I've heard great things about it and have always wanted to try it, gave me an extra kick. Picked up a sandwich as well for lunch. Otherwise no complaints, its clean space. Great spot for students.

Walked in and immediately felt calm. Colors are beautiful, plants and seating top notch. Staff was welcoming, did not hurry me while I was ordering. Love this place.

A true gem among coffee shops - great coffee, tea, and smoothie menu. An excellent selection of breakfast and lunch sanwiches, muffins, and croissants. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. Do yourself a favour and check it out!

I frequent The Essential Cafe often. Owners Alexa and Dan never disappoint with their wonderful customer service and tasty Lattes and lunch options. Today I had their new BLT Salad and it was delicious and a must try!

10 months ago - I dropped by for lunch today to go. I had your special - Berry and Brie Grilled Cheese Sandwich. It was delicious as was my London Fog! I would have called to let you know but could not locate a number for you. Thank you and take care!

Lovely cafe with great coffee and tempting pastries. Clean and bright. A beautiful ambiance. Would love to know when there is live music here, as I've seen in some comments.

Excellent coffee, with nice variety of munchies in an excellent atmosphere. Beautiful and clean facilities. Friendly staff. Dairy free options. Will be back here again.

Amazing sandwiches, coffee, and other treats. I recommend the prosciutto cheese sandwich, the spinach & feta scone, the brown sugar latte, and the honey cinnamon latte but I have more to try!

There's also BBQs every weekday at 11am!

A great place to relax and try out their changing baked goods and delicious meals! They’ve got scones, muffins, croissant sandwiches (warmed if you ask), bagels, energy bars, and a constantly rotating lunch menu. Their tea blends are also specially made and really great to try! It’s also a good place to study if you’re a student :)

Plus, the owners are really kind and wonderful people. I’ve been going there since they opened a couple years ago and it’s a very welcoming place to spend some time.

Amazing food, and Incredibly friendly ownership. We aren't from the area but will definitely visit them again in the next time we're in the Niagara region.

The Essential Cafe was the best experience I have ever had at a Cafe! Arrived near closing but the owner allowed us to stay and chat after hours with a complimentary muffin!! He was so friendly and treated us like family. The vibe here is amazing and will be recommending it to everyone in search of a new cafe!
