Glover Medical Centre

My experience at Glover Medical was very positive. They are one of the few places that take walk-in patients these days. Waiting time was less than 2 hours each time I went in. I met with Dr. Rizwan Somani and he was empathetic towards my condition, listened to my concerns, and provided advice and medication to help me get better.

Open Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. We arrived at 7:30 am and there were already about 10 people in line.
We saw a doctor at 9:30 am.
They had their patients capacity by 9:19 am and were no longer accepting patients for the day.
Arrive early, be prepared to wait and be patient and please wear a mask if you are coughing and sniffing, it's a nice gesture for those of us who don't want your illness.
Reception is very friendly and kind, all are wearing masks, hand sanitizer and masks are available for patients.
The doctors here are attentive and thorough when examining, no sense of being rushed, their attention is focused entirely on you.
Prescriptions were quickly faxed to my pharmacy.
I think Glover is the best walk in medical clinic and serves the Langley community's healthcare needs very well.

The receptionist lady I talked to over the phone seemed kind of like she had a bit of an attitude and she was starting to get annoyed for very little talk. She also seemed like she was in rush and wanted to hangup asap. I got an appointment right away, however, the doctor seemed like he didnt really care or was dismissing my issue as nothing.

The young white female nurse was the highlight of this place. She sounds very concerned, makes you feel very comfortable and she seems like she genuinely cares about her patients. She is why I gave the 5 stars.

I was extremely happy with the service and the efficient manner in which it was provided. Being a first time patient of this practice I found the reception/admin staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. I felt my concerns were listen to and taken with care. I was hesitant of the phone consult with the doctor at first, but I understand with COVID protocols the need for them. After my phone consult, I was promptly given an "in clinic" appointment. Upon arrival I was seen to by a nurse who went over my details and took some additional information. I was seen by the doctor within 10mins and I found Dr Clayton to be very professional and have a friendly beside manner. His examination was very thorough and he took his time to address all of my questions and concerns. I would not hesitate to go back or recommend this practice.

Wonderful and warm experience. Of course, the wait for my daughter’s initial assessment was long as expected at a Canadian walk-in clinic but Dr. Somali was very kind, patient and detailed. We were the last to be seen that day but the staff was professional and caring. We required a follow up the next day and given a fast tract, which seemed to great management tool. I was very impressed and can’t hold ‘the system’ or wait time against the clinic. I was impressed.

The doctor I see at the clinic has been very helpful and supportive. Even though he could not take me on as a regular, he's been just as happy to see me as though I was one of his regulars. He' was a huge help though my recovery from COVID last year and with my other medical needs. It's a great little clinic, and has been serving Langley for many years, although they are usually very busy they are dedicated to serving the community.

Wonderful visit. The nurse and doctor were very kind and efficient. One ear is plugged, and they helped me to flush the earwax more than I expected. Will attend in the future.

I have been dealing with Glover Medical for 6 months now and the service has always been excellent. I understand that the phone system is challenging but that only shows how good they are as they got lots of patients calling them. Dr. Somani does address our needs holistically. I’m glad we found their clinic for our family needs.

Great clinic. The receptionist on the phone was very friendly and helpful and the doctor called me to make an appointment. He asked me lots of questions before making a diagnosis (which most clinics I called weren’t asking anything) I was seen very quickly and the doctor was friendly, knowledgeable and made me feel very calm before getting examined. Would definitely recommend.

I am readjusting my review just for the simple reason that on my last two visits, I have seen a tremendous effort for improvements, coming from all staff members. The front counter staff are very friendly (at least with me). Not only this, but Dr. Somani was very efficient, compassionate with my concerns and he had done everything that stood in hes powers to help me heal. While still in process of healing, the office made arrangement for a MRI appointment, and obtained one in just 4 weeks apart from my last visit. Amazing. I will not hesitate to recommend all the doctors working at this clinic. Koodo's to all of them and many thanks for taking care of me.

5 1/2 hours wait time, just to see a doctor, only to read your blood test result. This is CRAZY and unheard of. Ladies and gentleman, I present you the Canadian medical system. A system that is full of bureaucracy and lack of care for their people (tax payers). I'm sure this is no news to anyone reading this review.
I'm rating the Medical Center one star because of their lack of compassion, communication with their patience and lack of professionalism shown by receptionist, and all coming from front counter staff. As for their doctors, I would have rated them 5 stars otherwise. I have visited multiple times this facility and was treated by Dr. Clayton. Although, sometimes rough around the edges, I find that he’s a very good and knowledgeable doctor.
The unfortunate part of my last visit, was created however by our "beloved" government and their system, that regulates the number of patience a doctor could see in a day. This system creates a huge backlog in wait times, and that affected me during this visit. Imagine what you could do in 5 1/2 hours, on a sunny Saturday, other than waiting for seeing a doctor.
LUNATIC - I can't describe it otherwise. I’m just screaming from “inside”, knowing that in this province and country, there are no other options but to go through this waiting pain, each time you need to see a doctor.
I would go back here, hoping that waiting times will be reduced in the future. A better organizational system from the Medical Clinic side, could improve the triage and wait times for their patience.

Very friendly customer service experience. We were out with in two hours and is a lot better then sitting in emergency for 10 hrs.

Called just an hour shy of closing on a Friday asking if walk in was still available, it was. When I arrived the waiting area was tidy and clean, reception was prompt and friendly. I was taken to a room within 10 minutes and the doctor came another 10 minute after that. Doctor was friendly and checked me over and gave me a prescription and information I needed.
Good experience for first time walk in to this location.

I should have written this review sooner. Anyway, my husband used to have severe headaches, accompanied with very painful toothache on the left. he had seen quite a few doctors, and even specialists, and had one of his teeth pulled out (turned out to be a good tooth). Nothing worked, and the pain got worse. The whole left side of his head was affected, his eye, cheek, , teeth, jaw,and even his neck. It was MISERABLE. Then he went to this clinic and saw Dr. Somani.. We found that Dr. Somani was very patient. He sat down and listened very carefully, ordered a couple of tests, and found that it was a bad sinus infection. He referred my husband to specialist who did a surgery for my husband. The pain was gone. and he's as good as new. We feel very comfortable with Dr.Somoni, He doesn't rush you, not eager to send you out of the door, always listens and let you finish what you have to say about your problem. For this we are very grateful.

I also want to give some credit to the girls who have helped us there at the clinic. All the staff, the receptionist(s) and the nurses have been very pleasant and nice to us. They always greeted us with a smile. We were there a lot during my husband's miserable days. We always felt comfortable and welcome each time we were there.

I recently lost my doctor and as a walk-in I found Glover to be friendly and efficient. Won’t hesitate to use them again. .

The front desk girls are awesome and helpful. The intake nurse was very friendly as well. Dr.Bahri is straight forward, to the point but is also very kind and knowledgeable. I am so happy to have found a female doctor I can talk to! They really care at this office.

Very experienced and knowledgeable Doctors for your health care. Remains busy most of the time but due to high standards worth waiting. Strongly recommend.

Was in and out in 25 mins. The lady doctor was super friendly as well as the medical assistant at reception and nurse. Doctor knew her stuff. Very happy will bring my kids here if needed on weekends.

This is a busy location, with what I imagine is a broad spectrum of patients from across the socioeconomic backgrounds. My family have been seen by doctors here for about 25 years. We have always been treated with dignity and respect, as well as careful, consideration from the front desk to the nurses and physicians.
We have also seen a tremendous increase in usage and wait times.My only complaint lies with the miserable, miserly funding afforded this clinic by the current provincial government headed by Christy Clark and finance minister Mike DeJong and abetted by local MLA Rich Coleman.
They smugly champion their "balanced budget" every session, but chronically fail to meet the needs of Fraser Health, which requires this clinic to shut its doors after a certain number of visits, often earlier than most daytime workers can get off work. That in turn causes people to take time away from their jobs and reduce economic productivity elsewhere. Doubly dumb provincial policy which further fundamentally disrespects the basic rights of people to health care.

I am happy I found a clinic and a caring doctor that listens and takes the time. It's been my 4th visit with Dr . Russell, thanks to the caring staff also. I moved here a year ago, from Saskatchewan was worried I wouldn't find a doctor as good as my family doctor back home, but low n behold😀

I have been coming to this clinic for the better part of 7 years and have nothing bad to say about it. Especially Dr. Clayton, he's one of the most genuine doctors I've ever met, we're lucky to have him.
