I had their spicy Szechuan fish which was fairly good / serviceable.

Then I had this - I can’t remember the name but it’s a mix of seafood (octopus, crab, shrimp), meat (beef or pork slices) and beef or pork stomach with potato slices, cabbage, and wood ears (a type of mushroom).

So a HUGE HUGE HUGE variety of meat and veg in one go. 🤤

Big enough for two or three people - for ~$23
The waiter had recommended it - it’s very good, I was by myself so it lasted me for two more meals.

Highly recommend if you like spicy food.

Order three dishes: spring roll, signature fried rice, and sweet and sour pork.
I liked the fried rice. It was delicious and the portion was quite big. Spring roll and pork were ok, above average. A good place if you are craving for Chinese food

The food is really incredible here and the service is really friendly. The prices are above average but are still very reasonable. I have nothing to complain about.

We ordered the braised pork, the fried chicken, cumin lamb and the Shanghai noodles. Everything was delicious, with the fried chicken being the most flavorful.

Definitely will be going back.

Odd pink wall with need of renovations. HOWEVER, it more than makes up for it with its incredible food.

I ordered the beef fried rice and cantonese chow mein and the portions were so generous for only 13$. The food was also delicious. Fast, generous, and amazing taste. They also give out a free fortune cookie which is nice.

Wouldn’t go here for a date but definitely would for a chinese food craving that’s also super cheap. I will come back many times.

Friendly service and they serve nice hot tea that doesn’t taste gross nor watery. Very authentic chinese food and fast service. Ordered the fried rice, pork stew and stirred fried pot; everything was delicious and authentic. They were in the saltier side, good with white rice. Generous portions.

I barely eat pork intestines cause the taste is weird for me, but they did a good job removing it

Love the famous braised pork belly and the shredded pork with sweet and sour garlic based sauce. I order here at least 2-3 times a week

Very authentic chinese restaurant. I personally think it's better than Aunt Dai. Northern Chinese style food. Large portion and great price. Worth trying. 招牌炒饭和水煮牛肉都蛮赞的，性价比超高！

Delicious, cheap Szechuan food in a very interesting location (it splits it with the best fried chicken place, Poulet Bronze). You need to try their food here! It’s always so good and the service is fantastic. They give you a tasty appetizer of edamame beans. I recommend the Szechuan fish (in spicy and mouth numbing broth!) It’s also frequently busy so make sure to try to make a reservation.

I think they closed down for renovations but amazing food, tastes like home. Hope they reopen soon

Great food. Great service. The hot and sour soup is just spicy enough and the portions very generous so perfect for groups or takeaway. The menu is extensive with many options to choose from. Vegetarians like myself can select from many choices in the Greens and Tofu section.

How to qualify Chez Chen other than... fantastic and succulent food! I will be back and back and back for some more. This place is a hole in the wall worth finding and tasting!

Great service and amazing food. Their Northern style deep fried pork with traditional sauce is exquisite. Also had their sizzling lamb which was very tasty. One of the better Chinese restaurants in Montreal.
