Ottawa Withdrawal Management Centre

The worst service possible there is nobody there equipped to deal with addiction. The staff that are there are only there for a paycheck I know that for a fact!
On intake you are treated disrespectfully.
The food is horrendous!
The wait time for a bed far exceeds their estimated wait time. Basically your left to dry out on your own if you manage to live that long. All those stuff should be ashamed of themselves. The organization needs to be revamped and put people that care for people in their place. It's a breeding ground for people that have no experience in addiction whatsoever. A very very sad State of affairs. You should all be ashamed of yourselves!

This center is absolutely amazing! I don't understand why they only have 2.6 stars 😕.
I am treated with the utmost care and respect. I'm able to speak French and be myself. The staff is extremely educated, caring, sympathetic and empathetic and fun! They also have my and other clients' best interest at heart. I have been to other withdrawal management centers, and this center by far is the best! The informative classes are advanced , the topics are extremely useful and key to Recovery and keep us busy. The center itself is very clean and comfortable. The meals are also excellent! Lots of veggies, fruits,fresh salads n protein. I want to thank everyone who works there. They have saved my life on a cpl occasions. So grateful for this center.Thank you for being you. 🙏 xo

When I was admitted there is made great friends, they had great programs. Mandatory meetings that let everyone understand there condition. Activities to do outside programs and taught you.the importance of having a schedule. Friendly staff. I was scared at first but I enjoyed the program. Super welcoming.

Great staff, great programs and resources available. Food is decent so id suggest to bring some snacks along w your visit.
I recommend to anyone who requires detox.

My critic would be it could be cleaner.

how to contact them with no phone and there is no email to tr to get help

This was such a disappointment. I called the Montfort, they know my situation, they were completely unhelpful. The Triage nurse said she couldn't help and said she was transferring me to the detox area but she just put me on hold until my call was dropped. No wonder these programs have such a poor success rate.

I was kicked out for using the "F"word in a conversational joke to the 2 guys sitting at the table, I had just been woken up by Lola really rudely I would add considering I haven't said a word to anyone at this point,

we were just joking about how cold it was cause I was wearing a jacket while I slept and I was shaking non stop as well as other guys who were complaining about the temperature and other people snoring in the beds 2 feet away from eachother.

my completely innocent joke to the guys turned into me being kicked out immediately and effective immediately.
I was talked down to and told to go to the glassed in room where she ordered me to sit down like a dog she then locked me in the room and ordered me to go outside in the -28 weather & only after this point I was angry and disrespectful.

Only after the fact I had no choice but to leave or she threatened to call the cops and had the nerve of smiling on the other side of the glass when I was trying my best In over 11 years and 3 recent month's of sick leave waiting for an available bed to detox to turn my life around,

she threw all my personal belongings outside of The building and gave me a full bottle of ibuprofen 400mg the strongest dose right after I told her I was hallucinating, I attempted suicide that night as I was shaken up and symptoms began to change mentally I went straight downtown to buy alcohol and then drugs, I wasn't myself after that and my girlfriend called the police and ambulance to find me and take me to hospital at that point I was already seizuring again dislocation of my leg and so on.

Lola and the one other staff lady judged me right off the bat didn't care if I left and committed suicide didn't acknowledge I was in danger and hallucinating from days of no sleep, food & stress and withdrawal from 5 different drugs I used prior to detox.
I hope to God no one else has to deal with what I did so avoid this place the staff are on a power trip and come to work in a bad mood there's clearly no training to deal with people in distress not even the slightest bit of concern or understanding they're Just there to get paid no doubt I'm clean now without their help.

I have tried contacting this facility multiple times, while in distress, and have never received a response. For what they claim to provide they have failed, repeatedly. The Ontario Health Ministry needs to take a very serious look at them.

This place does not care about the clients... I've been waiting for over a week now for a bed for my ex and still nothing.... the staff are very ignorant... I've tried calling and talking to the supervisor Paquette but he doesn't return phone calls... I would never recommend this place....

This place is horrible. The staff are rude and just there for the pay. They don’t wanna help. It’s a money grab
