The Goose & Gridiron

My recent visit to The Goose and Gridiron in Merrickville, Ontario, was a delightful experience. We started with the kettle chips, which were served warm and crispy, perfectly dusted with a flavorful blend of spices that made them a great appetizer.

My girlfriend ordered the seafood fettuccine, which was rich and creamy, with a generous amount of seafood that paired beautifully with the perfectly cooked pasta. It was served with garlic bread that was both crispy and soft—an excellent complement to the dish.

I opted for the fish and chips, and it did not disappoint. The portion was incredibly generous, allowing the fish to be both crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The white cod was warm and meaty, with a taste that was just as impressive as the presentation.

The service was top-notch, and our server had a great personality, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.

Overall, The Goose and Gridiron offers a wonderful dining experience with well-prepared, flavorful dishes and excellent service. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Merrickville.

We went there on Labor Day the place was packed but still the servers managed to take care of everyone. The food was delicious and the vibes were nice. Totally recommend and shoutout to their staff for keeping up on a busy day!

We went into the pub as a break from the rain with the intention of grabbing a drink, but the food was so tantalizing... we could not resist enjoying the fare. I had a spicy margarita, which was thirst slaying and then shared a fantastic plate of cheese covered nachos!! The portions were huge, the service was excellent plus the authentic pub atmosphere made this a must visit again experience in Merrickville, which is a 40 minute from ottawa drive down the 416! This town is a must visit to eat, shop and relax!!

Stopped here for dinner with our three kids. Not familiar with the area. The reviews looked good so we decided to try it. Our meals were great, large portions, staff very friendly and attentive. Would recommend. 😊

First time there on a nice sunny Sunday early evening. Great looking pub with a nice side patio. Good decor & atmosphere inside & out. The food was excellent and so was the service. Pub food can really be a hit and miss sometimes, but everything our table ordered was delicious. Will definitely come again!

I ordered Steak & Fries and my wife Seafood Fettuccine. They’re excellent in both quality and quantity. Both came with salad. Merrickville is a great place to visit for a road trip and good meals.

What a Great Place to go and relax and have a fabulous meal. Service and Food was excellent. Good size portions. Went in empty came out full .

Loved the nice cozy pub atmosphere of sitting on pub side. If not for you they also offer an open restaurant style side. Either way, nice atmosphere, with Great Customer Service. And of course delicious food to go along with it. Found in the cute little community of Merrickville-Wolford with all kinds of little boutiques to walk through. 🫶🏻

A bit of a lineup to get in but we'll worth the wait. I had the Pub Curry (vegan) and it was excellent. Great service too.

First time to the G&G and we must say we were impressed. Mushroom burger was fantastic. Home fries were hot and delicious. Hi Ken with cranberry mayonnaise and salad we’re mouth watering. Our server … smiled!

Visited here from out of town and got great service at the bar, great food, friendly staff, great draught and great service. Highly recommend.

Merrickville seems to have staggeringly good food and drink places. This one has been around from centuries and the 🥩 was just perfect. Ordered medium, medium is was. Not to mention the coziest setting and top notch service. Completely recommend.

A great place to visit if you're in the area. They have a wide menu selection (pizzas, burgers, stews...) and great portion sizes; I have yet to try a dish I wasn't satisfied with!
They have seats at the bar with a selection of wide screen TVs for those looking to catch a game.
Friendly and helpful staff. Great ambiance.

The best experience! The food is so delicious and the service is excellent!! My order was chicken Cran- apple brie sandwich, you should try it!!!
