Bob's Fresh Cut Fries

Excellent chip wagon in Merrickville. Server was friendly and despite being busy took the time to chat with me about local fishing spots. Food was out of this world good as my poutine was layered with cheese and gravy, not just dumped on top. If you are in the area do yourself a favor and stop by.

The loaded fries were incredible, fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and stay hot. The house sauce is delicious, we almost went back to get an extra side of the sauce. There is a gravel area in front with picnic tables and patio furniture. They are licensed so my husband had a beer and I had a frozen daiquiri! And had to get my daughter a virgin daiquiri too ;)
For a chip truck, the food and atmosphere is so far beyond what you would expect.

I had fish and chips (one piece) with a strawberry daiquiri and he had the Cheeseburger Poutine with a Last Duel Lager. Our food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere is amazing since the positioning of the new trailer. The ambiance is peaceful and very enjoyable to sit down to eat. Will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

Absolutely blown away! Stopped by Bob's Fresh Cut Fries with just a hint of curiosity, and left with a whole new standard for flavor! The fries? Crispy perfection. The burger? Easily the best I've tasted in Canada. And don't even get me started on that heavenly poutine and those addictive fried pickles. The staff? Exceptionally kind and attentive. They truly go the extra mile to ensure you're satisfied. Can't wait for my next visit!

Another wonderful chip and poutine meal from Bob's fresh cut fries in Merrickville. Delicious as always.... staff are amazing as well- highly recommend you will not be disappointed. Remember to bring cash- once you finish eating take the time to look around this quaint little town.

My wife who is pregnant got the "my wife is pregnant poutine" and can't stop craving it, apparently the creator of this dish knew exactly what they were doing! Our kids and I really enjoyed what we ordered as well. Can't wait to go back for more!

SO DELICIOUS! I ordered a chili cheese dog, poutine, truffle fries, a bacon cheese burger, fish and chips, pogos, a lemon cookie, and virgin strawberry daiquiris. Everything was fantastic! We got our food very quickly and it was all hot, especially considering we ordered a massive amount of food. The staff was also exceptionally friendly. I can't wait to try even more from the menu next time!

Great chip truck! They were friendly, service was prompt, food was good. The sheer amount of cheese curds on my child size poutine was awesome. I'm glad I didn't order anything larger than a child's size.

Simple place with friendly staff and very decent fish and chips. We liked the fact you can order extra fish without buying extra fries. You don’t see this happening too often now. Deep fried pickle was a hit along with bacon in “My Wife Is Pregnant” poutine (what a name! :) ) And the poutine wasn’t too salty which I personally liked a lot!

Outstanding smashburger. Often times the patty is either too thin or too thick. The former more like a cracker, the latter more akin to a traditional burger. At Bob's they get it just right. Thin enough to be wonderfully seared but thick enough to remain juicy and meaty. The bun is the ideal size and holds a place as a contributor to the burger, not just a handy way to hold everything together. Among the "everything" are awesome pickles. My new favourite burger. And, you can enjoy a cold beer along side, to make the ideal match! Only 4* on atmosphere, not because they haven't done a brilliant job of making their dining area comfortable and accessible, but because the surroundings remain without a special view - but a walk to the Rideau Canal is easily short enough (150 meters) to enjoy both view and hot food! There's also a nicely shaded park, just across the street, if the eating area is filling up. THEY ACCEPT DEBIT/CREDIT.

We finally tried Bob’s today. Between us we had two poutines, a fry with salt and vinegar and deep fried pickles. Everything was hot and tasty and the poutine was generous, but I have to call out the pickles: best ever, will not be sharing next time! 😊

Hands down, the best food in Merrickville. Their handhelds, cheeseburgers, and poutines are absolutely delicious. The owner really knows how to get inventive with classics.

Best chip wagon fries I've ever had. Cooked to perfection and nice and crispy on the outside. I live an hour away, but hope to return before the summer is over.

Tried Bob's fresh cut fries For the First Time - absolutely amazing. The people working there really care not only about the food but also about their clients. We dealt with both the owner Sarah and also the manager Robyn. They were amazing to deal with both with questions online as well as in person. I know we did see some poor reviews and it made us hesitant however don't let that stop you from trying. I'm not sure whether or not they actually ate at this place- perhaps it was a mistake or one off. We have a lot of experience with fries and poutine from Cottage Country and this is amongst the best. Keep up the great work and the great products - we will make it a regular stop when in this area.

I LOVE the poutine I get them often!
They serve beer and have a nice little seating area to eat at.
The convenience of using my bank card is nice.
I have yet to try some of the other yummy things I have seen on her menu.

The best poutine in Eastern Ontario. Lots of curds, great gravy and the fries are perfect 👍 I had Medium poutine for $7 and I couldn't finish it all 🤣🤣🤣

Bob's is a gem of Merrickville, on St. Lawrence Street. The lines are scary mid-Saturday, but man o man it's worth it. Big portions, jumbo hot dogs in buns and family sized fries that feed a small army. If you are both hungry and debating, feed your face with the 'My wife is pregnant' poutine; deep fried pickles, bacon, and poutine. Damn (hissing intake of breath)... that's goooood.

As a Canadian myself, this poutine is well done! Good sized and flavorful! They also put cheese curds in the middle added bonus.
