Lakomka International Deli

Great shop with a small section of Finnish and even Estonian and Latvian items! They have Karums, Selga cookies, Tutti Frutti candy, Finnish mustard, Fazer chocolate (even Geisha!) and Estonian black bread! Will be definitely going back.

I find the store offers the best Eastern European variety of products in Central-West Ottawa, which are reasonably priced. It also has a great, welcoming team to provide customer services.

Good east European selection. They have good dried fish selection. Very nice service with a smile.

This is my go-to deli every time. They are very knowledgeable, and friendly. Even if I don't know what the product is, I've never felt insecure, as they always have patience, and understanding when explaining each item.

100% worth the stop in, even just to try a few things to see what you like. Very affordable as well.

I just bought some Siberian perogis and borscht, in honour of my friend Tom Richardson, who lived this deli. Ican confirm this made a very tasty meal!

Bardzo fajny sklep! They are a small shop but crammed with goodies. Direct imports as well as food and delicatessen items from local producers of eastern European origin. Good selection of hams, stuffed chicken and smoked fish, caviar etc.. very nice jams from Kazakhstan. Boza and kvass. the best dumplings are to be found here, in particular the Georgian and Siberian ones. Well worth a visit. Reasonable prices and friendly service.

Lakomka is one of the best shops for cured meat and all sorts of East European products Going back next week I run out of gypsy beacon :)

It's always a great experience whenever I shop here the staff and other shoppers alike are very friendly and helpful.

One of the best places to get authentic Eastern European snacks, drinks, produce and spices.

On top of that I get to practice my Russian with the staff and other shoppers.

They are definitely #1 when it comes to their smoked fish and caviar.

Another great thing about Lakomka is that they can help you with any Russian or Eastern European dishes you may want to make via email and give you a quote of how much it would cost for all the ingredients before you visit the store.

Since I'm unable to visit my friends in Одесса, Санкт-Петербург, or Москва at the moment, I can still enjoy квас, тархун, and Байкал from the comfort of my home thanks to Lakomka!

Small but pretty nice shop with selection of European food items both imported & locally prepared.

I have been looking for eastern style foods for awhile now, as my dad is from Finland and it's hard to find the authentic products close to home. Not only did they have foods and treats from all over, but they had an entire isle full of real Finnish foods and treats. Needless to say my dad is going to LOVE his holiday gift basket now, and I will definitely be coming back in the future, thank you so much!

I absolutely love this store! Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful every time I go even if it is near closing. The customer service has always been excellent which I appreciate it!
Their products are always fresh & full of flavour. I love the smoked bacon, ribs & feta.

I visited Lakomka to pick up a few items for a Russian-themed family dinner and was amazed by the service! Not only did I find the (lamb) pelmeni I was looking for, I was also recommended a fantastic Alaskan caviar as an appetizer; having grown up in the Maritimes, I can appreciate a good fish egg. Really looking forward to the great dishes these items will prepare, Спасибо!

These people are amazing . Visiting my father in Ottawa and found this deli as it has Hungarian content . Not only do they have a wide variety of Hungarian food they also know what items are sold but that are the same as Hungarian but from a different eastern European country . Very knowledgeable and extremely helpful people .

Great tiny little Russian ukranian place that sell quality goods, foods and items you can't get anywhere else. They have those amazing Russian toys, you know, those ones that fit one inside the other and then another and then another and then another, pretty cool momentos from the motherland. Very nice service as well and always several people in the back making it efficient and personal each time, all the time.

The best Sauer Cabbage Heads in town, my Cabbage rolls are the best!!! Also, the mici, bors, zacusca, Gipsy bacon, smoked fish, Greek fish eggs, and many more products are the best!

Lovely store! Glad to find a place like this in the area. Lots of products squeezed in the store. Staff are friendly and will to explain the food and such. Highly recommend a visit!
