Donna’s Friendly Store

This store may be small but the staff are very friendly. These days a local store that knows its customers is rare. They dont have much stock but they carry everything you might need in a pinch. I enjoy having a store i can walk to with ease and not having to deal with crowded superstores.

The extra cost that comes with supporting local is worth the cost of loosing the small business forever.

The name of the store rings true; the staff is very friendly. Very small, doesn't carry much, but enough of the necessity.

This is an independent convenience store.
I've been a few times over the last couple years, I will try to go more often now that I'm closer. They seem to have the basics you would hope to see in a local convenience store.
I wouldn't expect a convincing store in Ontario to sell beer and wine, it's not something that is allowed in Ontario.
Many independent neighbourhood stores have closed in the 20+ years I've lived in Ottawa. Use it or lose it.
Don't expect the store to have every product and service your heart desires, it's only a couple hundred square feet of space and you're setting yourself up for disappointment.
I'm happy to have the store within walking distance.

It is a fantastic store with friendly staff and owner. Not a huge amount of products, but plenty enough to fill your needs. Lived in the neighborhood for over 10 years and they were my preference.

owner and staff alike. I don't understand people that complain that prices are higher? Independant stores are not Costco !

Friendly, as advertised. No plastic bags so come prepared.

It is a nice corner store. The prices are ok. The staff are very friendly. They got a new sign recently Corner store does not accept credit cards.
It will accept only a debit card.

However, I am avoiding going there recently because they do not have contactless payment. You have to touch POS, insert cards andy type pin every time you purchase something.

In these difficult times with covid, contactless payment is mandatory. I have an issue touching POS after 20-50 people touched before me.
